Hello guys,
After roaming around almost a year and half around xda, doing something fruitful :p:cool:
Here i present my first CM11 based kernel,
Disclaimer : You installed Kernel ,on your device ,I am not responsible .
If you installed kernel ,on a device ,without reading instructions ,I don't give a Damn !

Warning : I don't support Nandroid Restore
Attempting to use Nandroid Restore can lead to a perma brick .
Consider Nandroid to be permanently broken on this kernel.

Features :
100 mb shrinked from system to /data (For more internal memory ofcourse :p)
cache reduced to 8mb
Some touch tweaking (11 mb more ram :D Thanks @Dark Raven )

Toolchain used:
Linaro 4.7 by @Wedgess

Unique Feature
Modified partition layout which works flawless as far as my knowledge .

One Layout is maintains original system Layout ,The rest of 5 layouts come with Modified System Layout .
All Kernels have 8 MB cache partition so by default roughly 90MB bump in /Data is seen .

The best results with latest LX builds

-CM11.0-

Changelog:
Code:
V3
-- 201401227--
Reclaimed 60 mb more space
Same as LX 20140122 LX CM11 build

V2
-- 201401227--
Reclaimed 6 mb more space
Same as LX 20140122 LX CM11 build

V1
-- 20140122 --
Like in 20140122 LX CM11.0 build.

Steps to be followed:
Flash kernel (boot.img)
Boot to recovery, do all the wipes (data, cache, system, dalvik)
flash the rom zip
flash the minimal gapps if u want (here http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=48535200&postcount=4)
boot

Note:
1) If you donot format system the rom wont boot even if your on same rom with different kernel. SO its mandatory
2) Flashing the whole gapps will result in a bootloop as i have shrinked a good amount of system size (~100mb)
3) You can run ART well but please donot report issues if your running ART as it is experimental (mike already said that)

I would like to remind all testers to READ the ENTIRE OP. This is NOT tested by the developer.
You users requested it for testing, now you are responsible for what you do with it.

How about adding a link to your source, to comply with GPLv2. :D (in all you kernel threads would be nice)

Thanks.

I'll put that up sir in sometime. I forgot. I am sorry.. The source is same as that of Mike except defconfig is added. Do i upload just defconfig and will it be fine as per GPLv2?

Cheers,
Vatsal

    :/ :/ :/ :/ :/ :/ :/
Whenever you are changing kernels with different partition layouts it's mandatory to erase system and userdata...This is different from "formatting via recovery"...

Also formatting via CWM is meaningless statement since your phone goes into Catch22 loop.

Without erasing you can't boot to cwm and without cwm you can't format .

Use fastboot to erase system and userdata before switching kernel layouts.

    Commands
    Code:
    fastboot erase system
    fastboot erase userdata
It doesn't matter when you flash boot image(before or after erasing)
