[Q] Securing your private data/texts, is it really impossible?
I have been reading about how android is one of the most insecure to data recovery and that with the right knowledge anyone can recover your texts, pictures, and basically anything can be recovered even if deleted from an android phone with the right tools, regardless of whether this data is stored in the system/data partition Now all this has come about because my brother in law has challenged me to try and hide this data. I obviously argued that doing a factory reset or system wipe x3 of all areas through recovery should take care of it.... but after even more research and some testing, i have found that basically he is right! It seems to me that by now someone would have figured out how to write random data to all of these partitions through a recovery method or by using adb or even using mobile odin.... is android really so insecure that no one has taken this seriously enough to figure out a work around to protect our constitutional rights to privacy or is it time to return to the days of living off the grid so our privacy cannot be invaded. All I want to do is show him up and prove that it is possible to protect what should always be private! Hopefully a dev will see this and be able to give me a competent answer or at least point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help!
