[Q] Opening Gingerbreak on LG

Help!

I have an LG P509 Android Phone. Android version 2.2. I accidentally deleted some pictures and videos from the phone. To get back in, I need to run a root. I downloaded Gingerbreak onto the phone. But, it will not open. What to do?

Based on the name of the application, it's for Gingerbread (2.3) and won't work on Froyo (2.2)

Gingerbreak 2.3

I don't have a Froyo 2.2. I have already downloaded gingerbreak 2.3. It will not open on the phone.
