::: Team Inferno Proudly Presents :::

7264928874_c46897b205_b.jpg

Neither Team Inferno, or Cyanogenmod Team, or anyone else that was involved in this project is responsible for you device.
Please be nice as this is my first ROM for GT-i9000. ;)
So what is this? This is CM9, compiled and tabletized by the Team.

The stock Android keyboard that comes with the rom after flashing this mod is all distorted. I'd suggest downloading this one which works and looks fine.

Note: This ROM can certainly be used as a Daily Driver, however, everything is small. That we cannot fix because of the smaller screen size that we have. However, this is still fun nonetheless, if you don't mind the small stuff. :)

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

  • Usual CM9 bugs, other than that, you tell me :)

6908705874_7a6b8048b3.jpg

  • ROM Name changed
  • Added in custom wallpaper
  • Added InfernoBrowser.apk (Thanks mxbrowser)
  • Added TitaniumBackup.apk
  • Added ES File Explorer.apk
  • Other minor changes

Installation

- First time flashing ICS to your Galaxy S (or coming from another ROM)?
  1. Root your device and install ClockworkMod Recovery.
  2. Reboot into Recovery using 3-button-combo
  3. Do a Nandroid backup!
  4. WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition)
  5. Install the ROM from internal sdcard using ClockworkMod Recovery
  6. Optionally install the Google Addon
  7. WIPE again or Calendar Sync will not work.
- Upgrading from CM7?
  1. Do a Nandroid Backup!
  2. WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition)
  3. Install the ROM from internal sdcard using ClockworkMod Recovery
  4. Optionally install the Google Addon
- Upgrading from another CM9 (or teamhacksung) Build?
  1. Do a Nandroid Backup!
  2. Install the ROM from internal sdcard using ClockworkMod Recovery
  3. Optionally install the Google Addon
Note: The upgrade process from CM7 to ICS is automatic, but downgrading from ICS to CM7 (or restoring Nandroid) requires flashing twice. Once from ICS and again from CM7's recovery.

rom is so smooth but handling a tap on a 4" screen needs time to get use to it

EDIT: my media is not visible in the gallery but when I open the file manager its there

    Update!

OP has finally been updated guys! :D

    Welcome to

    ::: BRIGHTSIDE Evolution :::

Please read the ENTIRE OP, i have added and changed some things. Latest changelog is also included in the OP.

Note: I am sorry guys for not providing fast updates, please forgive
I'm very busy with school and finals and such, I also got my other ROMs to update lol. Please be patient with me when it comes to updates, I AM NOT A FAST UPDATER

Note 2: The ROM is still IMM76D. Having issues with services.jar on IMM76I. If you want to add in Theme Manager, please manually add it in yourself, as I forgot to include it...

Note 3: Since it's same base, no need to do a full wipe, but if you are encountering issues, please make sure you did a full wipe before reporting. Thanks.

    Enjoy and cheers!

Interesting thing someone posted in my other thread:

    I found something interesting :
    1. If you have root explorer, create a file named "local.prop" add a line "qemu.sf.lcd_density=128"
Save it and put it in /data directory. Change the lcd density in "build.prop" to 240. This solved my market problem.

    2. Go to market and look for app called "android tweak". Open the app, go to settings-more options (all the way at the bottom)-font scale (somewhere in the middle). the default should show 1.3, i increased it to 1.5. Restarted the phone. Got a little larger font. Be careful not to set it too high at once-otherwise the screen will look scary.

    3. In individual apps, if you go to settings, there are also options to increase font size.

Thanks to rabi347 for finding this!

I cannot add ROM control on this one, because its based on CM9, and ROM Control is AOKP. However, I am trying to get Tablet UI on AOKP :)
And yes, I will give an update (soon hopefully) with more apps added in :D
