Thank you for all your hard work, Calk! I've been running v1.4 since launch(and everything else prior) and its been great. I can't wait to see what v1.5 has in store! :)

I just noticed this today as I was trying to send a picture through mms. Usually the picturr will automatically resize itself so it can be sent. It just keeps giving me the "this file is too large error". Is there a quick fix for this?

There have been several post concerning this. I uninstalled and reinstalled Nova Launcher from the market btw and still no go.
However, I'm a diehard Go Launcher user and the wallpapers work fine there.

Thanks, I guess I will just wait for the next Rom, probably just some wierd interaction with nova.

Only used ODIN when going between AOSP, AOKP, CNA, and then finally back to Calk v1.4. From there, I used EK02 recovery to go to v1.5. Never tried the other backup program since everything I have is in titanium pro.
Is the SOD happening on other Roms too? It depends how far you want to go to troubleshoot it. I would recommend flashing to stock rooted, formatting both internal/external SD and maybe even a full reprovisioning so you know that the whole thing is pristine. As an IT tech, I KNOW that installing windows over itself is not always the way to go... sometimes you just have to format and start over. Sd's get corrupted, there are tons of leftover files and you're flashing all over the place trying new things. It would probably only take you 30-45 minutes to wipe and have it ready, not including how long it takes to back up your files.

I really like this version. Running stable as of now and I like how the gmail and playstore look with the dark theme. Oh and the CRT animation is more better looking then previously I think.

I'm an IT admin as well, so don't be afraid to hold back w/ the troubleshooting :). This has happened to me on any ROM that includes the newer kernels. I have not wiped my external SD, but have formatted my internal SD several times. I'm confident that the issue is centered around the kernel, but have no idea what is causing the potential conflict.

I just re-wiped the phone, and re-installed v1.5. Got an SOD as soon as the screen timed out to go to sleep. I recall running into a similar issue with AOKP as well.

I'm starting to agree that a full format through ODIN w/ a PIT file may be the way to go.

EDIT: That's what I'm going to do. I'm currently downloading the full-restore (rooted) FD26 package, and will see if that makes a difference w/ stability before moving on to Calk's v1.5.

I just spent over an hour with a user over in Q/A that couldn't load ANY rom. I told him to keep it simple... yank the SD, odin to stock rooted, flash cwm, format internal SD, copy stuff back over to internal SD and he was up and running. I think his SD was corrupted but he couldn't flash from internal either. Good luck with it. I haven't heard of any SOD issues in quite a while.

Edit: Try running it without the external SD for a bit too.

CWM Recovery Backup/Restore Procedure

I have a couple noob questions about CWM since I haven't been on this particular rom in quite a while.
I can backup/restore this ROM using CWM recovery as long as I stay with this platform correct?
Is there anything is this CWM I should NOT be using ( I know not to flash GB :) )?
I will be migrating back and forth between GB and ICS. I can still save and reuse these nandroids when I odin back right?

This rom is purring like a kitten, running incredibly well, and best of all the only problem I had in prior builds, Google text to speech is finally fixed!

I tried to add FB account under settings/accounts and the FB startup screen shows up and freezes. It cannot add the account. Is it because I deleted sns accounts? I could have sworn I was able to do this without having sns, social hub and all that before. Maybe I'm wrong? Scratching my head on this one.

Can be used with any kernels that have init.d support

It completely eliminates the need for an application to set CPU speeds or profiles
Easily customizable if you use a text editor(scripts located in /system/etc/init.d)
If SetCPU, Overclock Widget, Android Overclock or QuickClock Advanced Overclock are detected, the script is ignored, so it will not affect them
Awake tweak will speed up the CPU to max speed for 5 secs after waking up to eliminate any lag while unlocking, etc, then it will return to the profiles

    Preset profiles are:
    1.2GHz - 100-85%
    1.0GHz - 84-0%

Important Notes - Due to how this ROM is setup, a wipe is recommended BEFORE flashing if coming from another ROM(use FORMAT ALL attached)

You must have a custom recovery to flash this ROM

If your are updating, then nothing extra is needed during flashing as the update script wipes what is needed, unless other wise stated in the change log

Be sure to do a backup before flashing and read the change log

    E4GT 2 ROM (v1.6) - Mirror
    md5 - 2c9913adf8982d9413939c2d5befeba0

Bare ROM Converter (v2.1) - Must be flashed AFTER flashing the complete ROM - For a list of apps that it removes, click here

    Previous ROM versions

Modems - Zip's must be flashed through a CWM based recovery & Tar's must be flashed through the PHONE option in Odin

If you have 3G\4G connection issues, be sure to update Profile after updating by going into Settings\About phone\System updates
