I'm back with an rom ported from ace it's called SGSII v7
all credits go's to the developers of the offical version only port it to our gio.

This Rom is based on stock DDKQ8 2.3.6

U can call this a port of SGSII Rom to gio

Then maybe you had a corrupted download file. Try to download again, do factory reset and wipe dalvik cache too. Maybe you could try to mount system before flashing. And you may use EXT-4 Formatter before the installation. That would probably help if you can't mount system!
