Does everone have noticed in the meantime, that the phone goes slower and slower?
Maybe it's an app - I don't know, that's the reason for my question....
So I was flashing with Odin and it got about a third of the way across (green bar) and the full screen on the phone turned red and just stayed like that for about an hour. No progress or anything and it was getting warm so I took it off. Couldn't get it to respond to anything. Pulled battery to reset. Three button mode to recovery, nothing.
Then I went to bed and the next morning tried again with the Volume up and down and plug it in and it went into download mode. But same thing, About 25% of the way in and the screen changed all yellow.. Now what? Can't get into download mode anymore. Will try charging battery again on external charger. Any advice on how to get this back would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
so I was wondering if anybody has seen couple things that keep bothering me..
First thing, so After my phone runs out of battery, I charge it completely of course and when it turns on, my settings for ringtone and notification sounds are gone.. I have to select the audio files everytime that happens.. any solution??
Good luck - that all thing are coming, as you wish !-I have an exam to study...I believe this exam is hardest exam that you can see at my country...
That's more as true
I can't wait
Check out FE's CM9 nightly thread. He's identified a line of code that seems to have resolved the problems with GPS dying after deep sleep. And the beauty of the find is that it's in the ROM, not the kernel, so theoretically you could use any kernel you want - previously, subzero's kernels were the only ones that had some success in this area.
I'm sure you could implement this into your new ROM.
I think it is related to memory. Even though this version has the low memory fix, I think if you have an excessive amount of apps like I do, you will still have problems. Try running the "40tweaks" in the init.d folder with ScriptManager. Set it to run as "root" and at "Boot" That will set your available ram to 75mb. That seemed to stop it for me. For anyone experiencing lag, like someone posted a few above this one, you need to reboot every few days. I might be wrong, but I think SubZero deletes cache on reboot by default which will speed things up again or you could do it manually. And lastly if it will stick for you, set you background processes to 3. Mine will not stick.
Hi, thanks for the info.. I guess Im doing something wrong..
I still lose my ringtones for my calls and text every time my phone runs out of battery and I have to go back and set them up manually.. I guess I dont know how to run the 40tweaks as you suggested.. do you have a link that explains how to do it??
About losing the ringtones, try to see if it happens after a simple reboot, a battery pull, or turning off the phone before changing the battery. It happened to me again just once since your post which was a surprise. In fact, all my notifications change to something else when this happens. Plus I've discovered that my ringtone, which is a midi file I always add in when I flash a new version, doesn't play at the same sound level as the ogg files. This has been on the last two versions only-strange. I'm looking at converting that midi file to ogg to see if that will result in it playing at a greater volume.
To run 40tweaks, download the app Scriptmanager. When you open it, first you will get a dialog box asking to browse as root-choose root, then you will see the contents of your internal SD card. You'll have to hit the back button until you can see your root directory (twice I believe), the same files that you see when you first open Root Explorer. Then you want to tap the system folder, that opens then tap etc folder, that opens then tap init.d. When that opens, tap 40tweaks and choose root and boot from the top of the Scriptmanager app. Tap run and let finish. It will run automatically from then on every time you reboot. Be aware that it will take a little time after rebooting, less than a minute, for lag to go away as everything finishes booting. It is worth the trouble.
Also, I had the 'duplicating ringtone' issue at one point but the next time I rebooted it wasnt there anymore..
This build was made to fix that, so that's a good thing.
Finally, I still can't figure out how to send a message to multiple contacts... as I mentioned in my original post, the messaging app doesnt give you the option to select multiple contacts unless you enter the names one by one..
There's no way around that one unless Google updates the app to have that functionality. You'll have to use something else, I guess.
any help will be appreciated.. thanks
ps. I forgot to mention that I dont have many apps.. I only have the ones that came with the ROM.. nothing else and I dont even use the email/play/youtube apps at all.. just the browser at this point
I noticed i lose the ringtone only when the battery runs out.. I have rebooted the phone and there's no issue there.. my ringtone is a mp3 for my calls and an ogg (system file) for my txt notifications...About losing the ringtones, try to see if it happens after a simple reboot, a battery pull, or turning off the phone before changing the battery. I did format my memory SD partition when I first flashed this ROM.. I wanted a clean startI know this is going to sound crazy, but I swear I've gotten a smoother experience from making some space in my internal SD partition. I deleted a lot of cwm ROM backups and got about 4 gigs of space. Makes no sense to me but just sayin'.
I installed the 12.1 version coming from AOKP, and CPU spy tells me that the processor is always in 1000MHz state, rarely in a lower state, and never in DeepSleep. I am losing battery in 2-3 hours depending on usage. Any solutions?

I've only had one reboot that I've noticed, and then I got the faded boot image which is associated with that encryption bug. My phone booted up fine, however. Sorry I can't recommend any apps cause I stick with the stock one. I agree I could use improvement though. I'm hoping that Vibraturks new update will include the Linaro toolchain. From what I read over in the Zen thread it really gives a boost to speed.I did format my memory SD partition when I first flashed this ROM.. I wanted a clean start
One other thing I've noticed is that the phone will reboot on its own once a week.. for no reason at all!!.. :/
I mean.. my phone is sitting there and suddenly I see it rebooting.. or let's say i send a txt message and bam! it restarts after the txt is sent out.. weird huh!?
Also, I havent tried it yet but i think I will install another txt app so I can txt multiple contacts.. is there any app you or any might recommend?
I will give ScriptManager a go and see if that fixes the losing-ringtone issue..
