Not with me. Battery pull has been my only fix! :( At least I gave him a sure solution! ;)

Now for MY problem: I activated the feature that allows one to kill an app by holding the back button, but it's not working. Did I get a bad installation or is this a known bug?

i wouldn't recommend a battery pull unless your device is unreponsive....

instead you should do a hard reboot by pressing and holding power + vol up

airplane mode on and off generally works for me. if not that reboot but I doubt you need to battery pull.

A bit off topic, but battery pull is often the only way to get something working and at times a frozen device reset (my G2X froze recently and it was the only way to clear it).

Now the off-topic. With android devices starting to come out with a lock-down back which prevents battery pulling - how will frozen devices with custom ROMs/kernels be resurrected?

As for the G2X - running pretty good on this ROM for a few weeks. looking forward patiently to next release.

Another bug report: can't enable the flashlight/torch toggle as one of the power widget buttons in the notification tray.

Usually holding down a combination of buttons will reset your device in those cases. I have a Nook Color and that is how I reset it if I'm in a boot loop

I tried that with the G2X - it would not respond to any of them.

As for hurting anything - that is often the first thing a TMo tech will say to do with an unresponsive device. Don't know why it would hurt otherwise.

I have not had a lot of these with this ROM - so this is not even an issue to be reported in this case.

Usually, when a device does not have a removable battery, to restart it it has to be connected to a power outlet and the power button on the device has to be held for about five seconds.

My Transformer Prime does this and I'm pretty you can do this with the G2x also (I know I've done it when I was unrooted, ready to throw the phone on the ground repeatedly.)

Obviously since the g2x has a battery door it doesn't need this option so it most likely wasn't implemented.

From my experience with the Nook color holding the power button for ten seconds turns off the device no matter what state the device is in

If you hold Volume Up + Power for 5 seconds it will do the same thing for this phone.

It might also do a factory reset, idk.

My advice is to use the stock kernel. Harsh kernel doesn't always play nice with this from.

This is the THIRD time I'm going to post this. Maybe someone will help me this time

Is there an issue with mounting the SD card in this ROM? I am trying to use Titanium Backup to restore my apps, but it says the SD card isn't mounted, and I can't figure out how to do it.

Mine's fine. I thought somebody would have answered by now, honestly.

    Build 3

This release of the rom contains a ramdisk that will scan ext(4,3,2)
filesystems prior to mounting. Repairs are done automatically as
needed so if your filesystems are clean, you shouldn't notice anything
different. If they are corrupt it may take a little longer to boot.

    Precautions:

We are asking (insisting) that everyone flashing this version of the
    rom do a clean install.

Factory Reset must be run through recovery. The installer is not
capable of unmounting the cache partition that recovery mounts.

The Option inside the installer for clearing Data will reformat
the data partition only. In the future it will clear all the data
that the Factory reset option in recovery does, but for now it is
    limited.

We are insisting that Factory Reset be used because it's an almost
guarantee that /data, /cache and perhaps /system are corrupt.
Journals only repair certain types of fs corruption and android
doesn't use fsck to repair filesystems. So overtime, especially
with the use of overclocking and undervolting and unsupported versions
of android, these writeable filesystems get corrupt.

Repairing such corrupted filesystems will yield completely unknown
results as far as files that get cleared or duplicated.

In the future however, you should be able to rely on dirty installs
much more, as those filesystems will not get more and more corrupt
overtime. You should also notice that long term use will not
    result in increasing instability.

You can verify that filesystems are being repaired prior to mounting
by checking dmesg via adb or in Terminal. You should not see any
messages about the journal recovering the filesystems when they
are mounted. But more importantly you'll notice things are way
more stable (at least in the force close and random crash department)

    Short version:

    Boot into recovery.
    Factory reset
    Install zip
Leave installation options on default settings.
    proceed with installation.

*Added AROMA installer v 2.0 per ppl request
    *New Aroma settings + theme
    *New Battery driver settings
        CM Battery Driver
        DS Battery Driver
Go under settings/battery/menu enable to your liking

        Merged in 2.6.59 changeset

    EAGLESBLOOD™ ROM INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:
    =======================================
**IMPORTANT** - MUST READ CAREFULLY AND FOLLOW COMPLETELY

    1. Make a full backup of your current ROM. Then copy it over to PC if you wish.

    2. Reboot into ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM). *Note* You should always flash CWM using a USB Cable and NVflash; do not 'flash CWM from the ROM Manager app'.

    3. To begin start by clicking "Wipe User Data/Factory Reset", this will wipe all data off of the phone's memory (not SD card though).

    4. Now click "Wipe cache partition".

    5. Then go down to "Advanced > Wipe Dalvik cache".

    6. Choose Install zip from "External SD Card". Wait for that to complete and confirm you see an "Installation Complete" message.

    7. Now, you must flash the correct Google Apps - GApps ICS (gapps-20120212-ics.zip) ...link below.

Once the gapps are installed you can now click "Reboot System". Failing to complete all of these instructions precisely can potentially leave you stuck in CWM Recovery until you manage to build your way back out. This is not fun, trust us.

    9. Done. Enjoy your new ROM!

I don't care who doesn't like what I have to say, but I'm gonna say it anyway. Things were really starting to get going good around here, thus, the return of our beloved devs and the starts of a lot of good new devs. Then I read the first 10-20 posts, I'll be honest, if this was my FREE rom and I heard someone say they were blowing chunks because the "about phone" screen didn't display the latest version, this thread would be locked down and deleted. These guys don't get paid to give us this Cutting Edge code, they do it for the satisfaction of getting those thanks and becoming legends in an exclusive club, I guarantee Doniqcc will be one of our first elite recognized developers. You people are handed a divine right to experience roms the general public never will. I'm not gonna sit back and watch people disrespect any devs that have earned their place and the RESPECT that accompanies that position. I just commented on another thread how nice it was to have all this support and how informative the threads are nowadays, since all the haters are gone. One last thing, not only is it not anyone on Team EB's problem that you can't download because you only have a phone, nobody without access to a computer should be even on these forums. This isn't kindergarten, this is XDA, the world's foremost Android Development Site. If you have nothing informative and respectful to say, don't post it. I'm so sorry Doni for further mucking up thread, I couldn't let this go. Thank you so much Team EB, I and the others that know the difference between CM and AOSP really respect what you and your team's accomplished here, hats off to you guys, LG and Nvidia should be ashamed of themselves. Awesome work!
