From setting:

- region & language and

- keyboard

Wait for flashing the TMOUS ROM on your device, it will be ready soon.

Cellular is simply a tag name word.

The region was set to English UK, but the keyboard langugage only had English US and a couple of others.

What benefit would a TMOUS ROM give me as wont that have T-Mobile branding etc? I just want a generic HD7 :-(

You asked a US setup, now UK, UK is only (yet) in the original version, both not yet but we hope soon.

No mate, i think you've got confused, I want a UK setup, unbranded, but the European ROM doesnt do this as silly as it sounds:

it allows UK region to be set, but the keyboard is in US layout and there is no setting to change it to UK layout, it only allows US and a couple of other keyboard languages to be set, no UK whatsoever.

Hi,

No, we will wait for the reverse unbrading, Section G. , i.e. from T-Mobile (Your base) to other operators (coming soon).

Even though the existing T-Mobile original ROM is:

RUU_Schubert_TMOUS_1.20.531.01_Radio_5.51.09.11a_22.31.50.09

so check with your about screen.

In case that already is installed another version, try first to see if the above version can be installed in your device.

If not, you may install the ROMs that will be released but it is not sure that you can go back.

In order for all to have soon at least one ROM, i will issue for all letters the HTC_Europe latest version.

Sorry for all the questions but isnt the HTC_Europe ROM the one you would get on a device if you bought it SIM Free in a store/online? Surely this would be generic.

Hi,

Unlocked devices can be provided from any operator i.e. SIM free.

Many operators shell with less price a device locked to their own network.

In this case we cannot use another sim card than their own and we need an unlock code to sim free our device.

Branding is different, we are binded to their ROMs, if any, and cannot flash any ROM from any other operator.

Generic is another operator that we are binded to and not a free one for flashing ROMs of other operators.

This is the concept of MS and operators in order marketplace to be controlled.

Hi,

Before Global Unbranding or Goldcard no, but now you can have almost all roms of any operator regardless your device branding.

TMOUS ROM with additional keyboard languages?

Hey quick question regarding the unbranded TMOUS ROM:
RUU_Schubert_TMOUS_1.20.531.01_Radio_5.51.09.11a_2 2.31.50.09

Are there additional keyboard languages included in this unbranded ROM?
I am looking for the TMOUS image but with the keyboard languages from the O2 german image (which includes English and German).

Is that possible?

Do you have a ROM which contains US English language (0C09) and can be flashed on the PD2910000 device with CID O2___102 (O2 Germany)

I can flash the following ROMs:

RUU_Schubert_O2_DE_1.14.207.01_Radio_5.51.09.06a_22.30.50.09_Signed_SCHUBERT_RELEASE
RUU_Schubert_O2_DE_1.61.207.01_Radio_5.52.09.16_22.33a.50.10_Signed_SCHUBERT_RELEASE

And they both contain British English, German and Spanish.

Im assuming theres a $ sign on the keyboard? If so have you tried holding your finger down on this to see if theres a £?

Please can you let me know as Im tempted to try the goldcard method and change to the Europe ROM.

for all other operators i.e.:

hTC_Asia, hTC_Asia_SEA, O2_DE, O2_UK, TELSTRA and TMOUS

It is a hard work but i hope to successfully complete this task.

I didnt actually look but I am guessing so as on the o2 UK ROM if you hold the £ it comes up with $, so should be there.

I might give it a go later and make do with it for the time been as Yahoo search is doing my head in on this O2 HD7.

I wonder if O2 DE ROM uses Yahoo Search?

EDIT : O2 DE uses Yahoo search, also reflashed EU ROM and it does have the £ if you hold down $.

i just tested my tmobile hd7 following ansar instruction and 2 times i get error.
first i flashed this: RUU_Schubert_TMOUS_1.20.531.01_Radio_5.51.09.11a_22.31.50.09_by_ansar
and all was ok.
secondly i flashed this: RUU_Schubert_TMOUS_1.60.401.01_Radio_5.52.09.16_22.33a.50.10U_Signed_by_ansar the flashing process stoped at 82% on the phone and i got "error (226): flash write". the phone did not reboot automaticaly so i had to reboot manualy in boot mode.
thirdly i flashed this

RUU_Schubert_TMOUS_1.20.531.01_Radio_5.51.09.11a_22.31.50.09U_Signed_by_ansar
the phone rebooted but hanged in htc logo.
i think may be a little bug.

ps: i just want to know if after u help me to successfully debrand my phone will i have french language in it? i badly need french language in my 3 sets to be able to sell them.

I had exactly the same error as "bamogil". Apparently there is some issue in the "RUU_Schubert_TMOUS_1.60.401.01_Radio_5.52.09.16_22 .33a.50.10U_Signed_by_ansar" ROM as it doesn´t end as expected. I returned back to the initial TMOUS ROM without problems.
