also it would be helpful to go into you user cp and change the amount of posts per thread viewed to 50 versus 10... this whole thread is only 4(5 now with this post) pages for me. so in user cp -> click edit options -> then Number of Posts to Show Per Page -> then select 50.

done and done. much easier to read now. :)

Hi

on the Kinldy fire after loading the late version HFKSV1.1_42012 it seems the we cannot connect to the computer for copying files ??

can you help in this regard pls...

Did you wipe cache and dalvic before and after?

Did you connect once.. it will only mount the SD once then you will have to reboot... you could use an app to save you some trouble

I think my point would still work better. All you've done is reduced the number of pages. That means there are still over 200 posts and growing to read through to try and figure it out and even then, unless someone comments like "hey, this [feature doesn't seem to be working" or "wow, this [feature] works great"...you still really don't know.

Is what I'm asking that difficult or complex? Am I missing something? I mean I'm not asking for details like "this doesn't work because of this complex and obscure reason that I will now present in the following 10 pages" kind of stuff. Just a quick and dirty bullet point list like the existing change log.

no your good in the request. I just wanted to point that out... it pains me to know that yall are trying to read 20 pages of stuff with 10 posts per page... So I just thought i'd share the info. but i'm sure hell wont have any issues doing this.. hes just been super busy with the new baby and all.. ill do what I can to gather the info to make it easier for him... and Team HF feel free to help out in this manner as well.. :)

BT is based in the kernel updates which
currently is not supported...

What is the original min max clock speed of the kindle fire? I can't seem to remember....

is it 600/1.08?
or 300/1.08?

And if the answer is yes, then I have no answer.. a decent Google search only reveals specs not min/max speeds... and when I hacked mine I didn't keep 6.2.2 for very long.. it was seriously 5-6 minutes and got bored of non customization as per my liking... so I put CM on it..lol.. maybe post that question in the q&a section and you could get a sucker, uh I mean a nice person who runs stock still and is familiar with confirming those numbers for u... hmmm random thought here its time to get dual boot rocking on the Hellfire kindle.... it has yet to taste such magnificent blood of two roms.... ;)

i will try this week if i can get some time.
I have a few modded Hulu tricks Ive learned on here so HOPEFULLY one will work.
Do you know if his cm7 version has hardware acceleration? I know HULU didnt work on that ROM at first but then the modded one im using now works.

when updating is it fine to use tit backup to put your apps/app data back in or should you do a full re install. the only app i even care about wit hit is my aldiko reader and book spots.

His cm7 should have no prob with hulu ..and for this rom I believe hulu wont work unless you use hashcodes kernel or wait for hfks with it ;)

    Hello - sorry I am late to the "help you fix your Fire" party. First I would try what "Soupmagnet" told you to do and get back to us. FireKit is awesome.

    What can it do
    Fix power on problems: If the Fire's screen never seems to turn on, you may have wrecked the bootloaders or the partitioning. Fortunately most of the time this results in the CPU falling into the low level USB boot mode. Use the "usb_fix_parts_and_install_fff_twrp" to rebuild the flash enough to boot TWRP. You don't need to use the USB shorting trick for this one, just power up the Kindle after running the script.

    Let us know exactly what it does when it tries to start again ( any light in the black screen at all ? or the power button ) ( do you have twrp or cwm )

    I do not think you Fire is a full brick ( unless something fried internally) but I have never heard of that. Sounds like a phuqed partition issue maybe (boot) .... Kindle's are almost un brickable ( 98% ).

    If you still have issues, let us know. I do have a Factory USB cable that takes you straight into fastboot mode that might help ... it has un bricked many fire's in the past, but I have never heard of anything like what you are experiencing.... I see your in the USA I would lend you the cable if needed, (or) you can buy one for $15 from a guy here on xda ( ill tell you his name if you want )

    Either way, hang in there. DONT throw your fire away. Keep us updated. We will help as much as possible.
