Guys

Please forgive me for sounding rude but why are we discussing ROM development in this thread? Surely it should be in the general section?? I agree that this ROM looks awesome but if it is based on a kernel that has bugs then it shouldn't be released until the bugs are ironed out of this kernel anyway!

Can we focus on perfecting this for now and then focus on ROM's

Please I am not trying to be bossy or trying to act like a mod, I just want to perfect this kernel for the better of us all so we can all be proud of what Maroc has achieved here

Guys I don't know how you got a2sd working because it aint working for me. This SD card issue is a serious bug. Here's a list of what I have done to get it to work:

1) Created an EXT 2 partition using Linux on SD card (tried with EXT4 but wouldn't mount on CWM)
2) mounted partition in CWM
3) Formated partition using sd-ext (which gave me an error saying it doesn't exist)
4) After scratching my head a few times I decided to use Sir Maroc's EXT4 zip which surprise surprise worked and then allowed me to mount the partition then format which gave me no errors and even allowed me to allocate 32 mg for cache.

Cool bananas.., so after all this I fire up a2sd and get this (screen shot)

Then I install link2sd which works, but when I reinstall Fruit Ninja and then reboot BAM its gone!

Then I tried the SD unmount/remount trick and that does not work either

Oh and by the way clearing cache does not seem to make any difference to the SD card problem.

So for those out there who have got this to successfully work then please post a detailed how to

Use ext3partition is a deffault partition in this kernel it work but until use and reboot all app in who instaled on sdcard are gone but after wipe cache all app comes back still confised with this issue

I ask sir maroc but still got no answer I thinks he busy with his work, and now I just wait till he answer my PM
:D I think ill focus to modify all icon soo it looks like ics on galaxy nexus

if you use a2sd the problem could be from sd-ext mount problem or the imperfect rom installation. this is only my raw assumption but you may check it by reinstall your rom.

Sir Maroc,I Dont have Use System 1.0.8 to v2,its make any issue?

    Amazing PowerSave Governor ;P
    ---------------------------
    in 2.0 do i need to use the system.zip of 1.0.8 ?
    ---------------------------
I'm not using it, I just flashed the kernel using faqbly method and that's it. Not sure about custom roms though
    ---------------------------

Flash the Kernel with any method you want (Odin, Mai77, or Faqbly).
For better speed :) install ext4.zip
For better performance :) install system-1.0.8.zip

    Reboot Twice :) Enjoy.

If you have a fresh install (Stock Rom) you need to do it (Install System.zip from 1.0.8) :) but if you have an old rom that have already the system folder (Kernel Modules) installed on it it's not a problem.

    MT Kernel Developer Edition 4 ( v.2.5 )

Hello Guys :) Uploading The New Kernel :)

This One are relly Good :) you need to test all things and see if the performance are increased :)
Notice : Superuser.apk removed :) so if you wana root the device just put you new files in :

    /system/rooting

we support : su, busybox and Superuser.apk in that folder

For ext4 this one are really do the job :)

To convert you STL blocks you need to do this :

    1) - Make a Nandroid Backup.
    2) - Install the attached EXT4 Zip file.
    3) - Restore your Nandroid Backup.
    4) - Flash the PDA.merruk.tar (cause the nandroid backup will flash back your old kernel)
    5) - Enjoy The New Speed :)

This File do 2 things for ext4 :), & reset the custom bin counter (Bin file used from docky Thanks for him), and finally Flash the kernel.
Convert the blocks to ext4 filesystem, and tune the filesystems with ext4 specs :)
You can easely turn you system to ext3/2 to have more speed (ext2 is better cause no journal there so it turns fast recording to the checks found in internet)

For Kernel if you used the EXT4 Zip File you are done, if not flash the PDA file attached via Odin.

After Installing please let the system take the time nedded to full booting and reboot twice to take effects :)

    Have a Good Day :)

Please Your Reports improve the kernel, so send them :)

    EDIT:

guys please read carfully it's not for noobs.

if you wanna convert your blocks the partitions system/data/cache will be formated and converted to ext4, the Ext4_Converter-signed.zip attached also flash the kernel.

if you don't wanna be in ext4 FS just flash the attached kernel as pda (PDA.merruk.tar).
