Thanks, Dave! I know you guys are working hard but my eyes are old (sigh)..

I should have looked in the UserCP! Feel silly now! A last question to make a pest out of myself: the 'old' style is the "Forum Default" or the "Custom template"? I know which the new one is and I will play with it as time permits.

Thanks!

The Custom Template is the old one.
The forum default means the one the admins pick for you, and that means the new one now.

When switching to Hybrid or Threaded views for a thread, the thread will not load. Instead an error page is displayed.

In order to correct it, you must go to User CP.
Switch to Hybrid or Threaded.
Save Settings.
Switch to Linear - Oldest First.
Save Settings.

Now you can go back to the thread and view it.

But, you can not view a thread in threaded or hybrid mode.

This does not appear to be a problem with all threads. I suspect the size has something to do with it.

A specific thread where it occurs is the Raphael Energy ROM thread.

http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=536751

I have verified that this problem occurs on both the Raphael and Rhodium Energy ROM threads.
I know the Raph Energy ROM thread once was 2 and was combined to form 1. I don't know if that is true for the Rhodium thread.
I have also been unable to find any other threads where this problem occur.
But, I have not tested on any other threads with this many replies.
The closest was Da_G's thread with about 16000 replies, which works fine.

I think this error occurs due to the size of that thread(s).
Hope this error will be removed soon .. :)

dropdown-menus not working

Hi. I have a litle issue with Opera, Buttons like Thread Tools, the menu does not appear, I can't suscribe to thread in the new styles.

I hate cross-browser issues! This is very annoying. Hopefully I can get it fixed this weekend. Thanks for the report.

i have a problem that could be related to that:

in opera the buttons "Thread Tools", "Search this Thread" and "Display Modes" are not working. when i click on them, the dropdown-menu does not appear.

i'm using opera 10.54 build 3423, win7 64bit.

Is it possible to remove ads from threads first post?

Ads overlap pictures. It's OK for widescreen, but does not look good on small resolution screens.

I use AdBlock on Firefox and I don't see those ads, but I got messages from users that they can't see full picture.

On short threads first post there is no quote button as it's under ad.

:)

And as posted previously...

[ INDENT ] tag does not display in final post as it does in edit preview. Edit preview displays what should be the end result but after posted ("saved") the final result is different (and not indented).

I'm using Opera 10.60 and two search boxes in the toolbar have strange colors (not white) :)
No problem with other browsers.

Actually that's a good reminder...

Two things, previously reported numerous times to no effect...

1.
tag presents a different result in preview and post

2. Trailing fonts get all stuffed up if you use
or
  • and also the fonts used with these tags are different from the main text. When you look at the generated page code the fonts are all over the place.

Not sure if this has already been reported. I dont have time to read through the whole thread, but some of the banner ads at the top that expand on mouse hover (the vodaphone one) make it very cumbersome to try and access options from the Quick Links drop down menu.

Other than that I haven't had any issues :)

All paragraphs that come after a closing list-tag are not wrapped in p-tags any more, but instead the text is simply placed inside the div (.post-message).

The /list seems to mess up the style's logic a bit :D.

Icon for *.rar-attachments is missing...

Hi...

Just wanted to inform you of a missing icon.
It's the rar symbol, if you attach a rar-compressed file to a thread.

May you'd like to fix this... =)

Greets to all...

XDA App Taskforce
Site maintenance

Guys remember XDA will be on maintenance

On Saturday, 21 August, at around 11PM EST, we’ll be performing a database upgrade that will result it several hours of downtime for the forums. This database upgrade should positively impact site performance, which is always good =D.

Perhaps because of this some weird things can happen close to the maintenance times
