Hi,

I want to buy a Moto G and it'll be rooted the same day. However, it's cheaper here to buy a branded one and unlock/flash but obviously I would like to know if it's possible to re-lock the sim carrier when re-locking/unrooting the phone to stock?

If not I'll buy the SIM free model for a bit more money. I know I can unroot/Flash the phone to stock but will this re-lock the SIM Carrier?

Thanks

Why would you like to relock the phone once unlocked from your provider?
After unlocking it is free. Free like Free Willy?! It is nothing illegal or warranty voiding behind that.

I asked the Tesco Mobile customer service reps, they said that unlocking the device by other means than their own (costly) code would void the warranty. But I code is available on eBay for £2. So I just wondered if it would be possible to re-lock the phone if needs be.
