I have a problem with my new ASUS ZenFone 5. The phone worked perfectly before I tried to use it with my car charger, which I have used with other smartphones I owned. When I connected it, all of a sudden it turned itself off, and I had to power it back on. When it did power back on, I noticed that status LED that usually indicates that the phone is charging is on, even though the phone was not charging. When android booted, it also said the phone was charging. The phone works normally, except the battery drains little faster. USB connection works normally.
A Hard-Reset did not help. I already contacted ASUS Helpdesk, and they suggested sending the device back for assessment. I'm in need of my phone so that is not a great option.
