I have installed the oldest firmware, till now no problem is observed.
I dont blame the custom rom,instead I thank kkhckr for his wonderful rom:thumbup:

All that i can say is that i would like to test custom roms, but i my phone is for daily use, so without proper CWM i dont think i will

Hello TO Everyone . . . !

i think everyone's first question is about working CWM :p

i'm giving short trick... maybe it will work for you...

Just use CWM in my other thread...! and do make partitiion (ext-4) in your memory card of any size...

you can use CWM to do it..

WARNING:- BACKUP YOUR ALL CONTENT OF MEMORY CARD (making partition will delete your data ) ==> MAKE PARTITION ==> RESORE YOU DATA


And try BACKUP AND RESTORE...!

Is kernel necessary

Link to iDuos kernel seems to be down (at least for past few hours). Is it necessary to inslall the custom krenel or will the rom work with the stock one?

its not possible because first on backup you cannot backup stock recovery and boot image due to BML partitions for which we cannot find out real purpose. so we van only see mounted partitions, and we can guess what are others. ref: https://github.com/ameer1234567890/OnlineNandroid/issues/2

so CWM from itsme1234 is only ported CWM from similar duos, and for compiling proper CWM we need stock boot.img and recovery.img

Thanx for fixing kernel link. ROM works fine so far. I have new Ace Duos and I am little bit dissapointed - i switched from Xperia X8 that has large and very active comunity (working port of CM10 (JellyBeans) has ben released recently), so i am missing lot of features from CM.

Anyway, great work with first custom rom for Ace Duos! Looking forward for next release!

dvucino is right. I have used online backup tool and it is unable to find boot and recovery images. When I contact ameer, he asked for the partition layout which I am unable to found. Even CWM is does not backup those images.

Have anyone of you tried backup and restore?? Was everything restored properly??

I tried many times backup and restore and always I felt that I lost something. Because after restoring phone is not working smoothly

Hi,i'm not telling about CWM firstly,i didnt make backup secondly because in CWM is unable to mount /data folder (i posted this issue earlier) and we have stock image.. Thirdly this CWM is temp CWM,you might know it from manoranjan forum,he wrote it. I posted on his forum link where is possible to make proper CWM but we need stock recovery image..

First, sorry, but if your post above dont confirm that you telling about CWM then i am confused! Second, you can do the backup without mount/unmount data folder, so with restore you will restore complete system but without data same like you had when you first start the mobile. So that CWM from itsme1234 is not temp CMW its CWM from Duos Y so its not build for our devices or either ported. You sent link from online clockworkmod builder but sometimes that way is not successful so boot.img is required for compiling CWM

    HOW TO INSTALL ROM :-

    1. Go in RECOVERY Mode By Pressing ( VOLUME UP + HOME + POWER BUTTON )
    2. Select CWM recovery through stock recovery and install it..
    3. Go to Mount ==> unmount system,data,cache ==> Format system,data,cache ==> Mount system,data,cache
    4 Come Back and select install from zip
    5 select my rom [assuming you already placed it to memory card or internal memory]
    6. Install it....! Reboot ! press and hold power button to reboot !

    HOW TO INSTALL KERNEL :-

    1. Download Kernel And Odin
    2. Go to Download Mode By Pressing ( VOLUME DOWN + HOME + POWER BUTTON ) nd then press Volume UP
    3. Connect phone to pc through data cable
    4. Run Odin ==> Select Kernel FIle as PDA and press Start..
    5 It will Be automatically Reboot

    I ADVICE FLASHING STOCK ROM AND WIPING DATA BEFORE INSTALLING MY ROM

    ROM IS UPLOADING..! Its 50% done... Link will be update once completed

    nd CWM is same as before..!


    But you can enable BAckup And Restore by Makeing ext-4 Partition in your memory card....!


    It will Be Fixed in Further Releases...! and various mods will also be added...
