(I527) how can i get the KK update?

I am wanting to update to the Kitkat version of Android. I have unrooted and ODIN to stock firmware and i tried doing a OTA but it comes up a Update Check Interrupted error. my phone IS unlocked and I have been using a MetroPCS sim card in the phone. nothing i do can get me to get the OTA.

is there a sideload or a way through Kies or any way i can update my phone to KK manually?

Try manually setting the date ahead 24 hours then check for the update. Make sure you untick auto date & time in settings

You need a at&t sim card to update OTA if not there is a thread in the mega general forum where soneone extracted the update files side you could ADB sideload

remove root via SuperSU factory reset phone then get the update file 2400258.cfg move it to your SD memory card and rename it update.zip then turn off phone once off hold home button volume up then power then install update from SD card.. worked perfect for me
