it happens randomly... like when i'm deleting stuff from my gmail inbox and i accidently press "undo" and delete in quick succession.. :s
ARM9 crash seems to be a indicator that your N1 has some hardware fault, according to this post:

the latest ubuntu linux kernel is 2.6.39.0 & brings many performance & reliability updates to linux as a whole .. when can we see that coming to our N1 ?
Can this kernel be flashed to a rooted but otherwise stock Nexus One running Gingerbread 2.3.4? Any issues? Will camera and wifi still work?
You can flash it over stock but some stuff like camera and wifi will not work.. you'll lose a bit functionality..
I tried this kernel with the Sense ROMs, RCADSmixHD and the Kingdom Port, and both just hang at the X during boot up. Any thoughts on why, or if this could be fixed?
I guess I wasn't clear in my question. I know this kernel, and most others, are for AOSP/CM based ROMs and won't work on Sense ROMs. What would be involved in making a version for Sense ROMs?
What settings are you using ? can you please elaborate on this as mine doesn't last more than one day !!

First, screen brightness 20-40% (only 100% if needed), I also use black wallpapers, OLED reduces power comsumption a lot with this 2 small tricks.
