failed remote :43

hi all,

any idea how to solve this issues?

had stock RUU rom, but can't flash due to the remote:43


"FAILED (remote: 43 main version check fail)
Your device is S-ON & you are trying to use an RUU that has software number less than your current software number."


help help... many thanks

can i install htc wwe asia on my HTL21 au kddi japan HTC butterfly? i've already unlocked/s-off and cid 11111111.. thanks! is there a problem if yes? thanks

if you can find stock shipped room and flash that rom via PC. so your phone will back to life. GOOD LUCK

I don't think its corrupted because the rom in S-Off thread I couldn't open them properly either. I thought it was corrupted, but flashed just fine. This was back in July. I don't think they're supposed to be like regular zips.

It also seems corrupted as same MD5 value seen.

None of the links downloads are corrupt, they are HTC encrypted files, which needs decryption using ruuveal ( search in XDA ).

The above ROM have no further update since JB 4.3 Sense 5.5.

If you need KITAKAT, I even managed to decrypt 2015 official X920D RUU & flahsed my own 16GB X920D with it via fastboot flawlessly.

Official ROM zip just shows 5th zip in the view ( WinRAR ), It has system.img splitted in 3 seperate rom files.
I combined them in single one using binary copy & then uploaded the complete pack with 24 files.

After flashing, just 2 OTA updates needed ( both around 85MB ) to get the OS updated to 4.04.709.6.

Important: It seems the uploaded decrypted ROM size causes a fastboot ROM push failure, as seen below:

I had to delete dzdata_32g.hdr/dzdata_32g.img/dzdata_64g.hdr/dzdata_64g.img from the ROM zip, to keep the size supporated by fastboot.
Since my phone is 16GB model, I deleted 32GB & 64GB user partition files from the full rom.
Ater which, the flash worked perfectly.
