FOR Android 2.3.3 , 2.3.4 , 2.3.5 , 2.3.6

There are 2 ways to root your phone:

1. Through Stock Recovery - Follow this post to root your phone.
2. With the help of Desktop/notebook/netbook - SuperOneClick (Tedious Procedure compared to 1st method) See Post#2 of this thread.


What is root?
A: Here


What is busybox?
A: It is very essential for every rooted phone. See more - Here


FIRST METHOD->


Instructions:

Step 1. Download the zip file from this post. (update.zip)

Step 2. Copy the file in your SD-card(sdcard/) Not in a folder/directory

Step 3. Power down your phone.

Step 4. Enter recovery mode by holding Home+Power buttons for atleast 5 seconds at the same time.

Step 5. Use the volume key's to scroll through the menu. Select "Apply update from sd-card". Use the home button to apply function.

Step 6. Use 'Select zip from sd card' to find update.zip on your SD-card.

Step 7. When it asks you if you want to apply the update, select yes. Use the home button to confirm.

Step 8. Wait for it to finish, then reboot. Congratulations, Your phone is now rooted.

Step 9. Check if your phone is rooted properly - Follow Post#3

SECOND METHOD->


How to root your phone with SuperOneClick?

Step 1: Install Samsung Kies into your desktop/notebook/netbook . You need to install the drivers for your phone.

Step 2: Install the latest SuperOneClick from Here

Step 3: Set your Galaxy Mini to ADB mode (setting>applications>Development>check list USB debugging)

Step 4: Connect it to your desktop and wait until the installation is complete the device.

Step 5: Run SuperOneClick.exe

Step 6: Select root and wait until the rooting process finished.

Step 7: Check if your phone is rooted properly - Follow Post#3

How to Check your root status and busybox version of your phone?

Step 1: Install this Android App to your phone from Here

Step 2: Open the app. Go to Advanced > Choose Verify Root Access - It should look something like this -

Step 3: Check busybox installation > It should look something like this -

FYI: When the thread was created, I had included my own patch with binary and everything updated.(I removed it for a reason).

Hi guy, I have to root a samsung GT-S5570 of my friend. It's enough I follow this guide?

After that I would found a good rom for him that is able to manage the external SD memory, since the main motivation for him to ask me the root is that he can installa too few apps because his memory becomes full in a few time.

Yes, you can follow this thread. Download the latest update.zip I just uploaded.

Updated - - Tested on stock recovery as of 2/2/2013

got an error using the update.zip, something like status 7...

getprop("ro.product.product") == "GT=B7510"

E:error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip

Status 7

Installation aborted..

    LOL, i don't know how to root a stock rom :D
    because i always use cook rom and rooted
