[Q] [REQ] Is anyone able to port a custom recovery for Moto G LTE (xt1045)?

Could we port TWRP or CWM on the xt1045? I've included a dump of the stock recovery here as well. Thanks!

this is a bad copy, its not unpacking. how did you try to dump it?

I used the lines:
su
dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p21
in terminal emulator. I think I may have dumped it incorrectly

i ended up getting a copy from someone else.

you used /sdcard/recovery.img and put it on mmcblk0p21 (Input File vs Output File)

dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery of=/sdcard/recovery.img

however your recovery has been overwritten at this point and thus shouldnt be considered "clean" aka stock

Shabby, fwiw - I grabbed the TWRP-2.7.1.1-peregrine-Test-2.img from your AF post, and it seems to be working for me on my xt1045.

I can successfully recovery boot now, into TWRP, for the first time...

I had previously been able to get root with "fastboot boot openrecovery-twrp-2.7.1.1-xt1032.img", and push superSU, but have never been able to get a clean boot into recovery afterwards...

Oh..thanks..been working to long I guess..for some reason, I had read CWM, not anything about TWRP..

Nah, you're right. Wasn't immediately clear. I would have just posted the link, but I didn't want to hotlink someone else's work, particularly when it's in a development state.

Thank you Sir..I'm hoping my order for XT1045 will arrive in a day of two, haven't received it yet, just preparing ahead anyhow..no emergency..I will excersize patients..and keep monitoring all the goings on..THANK YOU for your replies..

Sir..my order of the XT1045 is marked "shipped".. the first thing I will unlock, and if you need a tester, I'd be honored to help..hopefully tomorrow it will arrive..if you still need testers..
