Got my DHD from phones4u london, no such issue. Promity sensor seems to be working brilliantly.

im realy want to see it.
Here you go:

Nothing special to see, the screen just goes black...
does an app like shake awake make it wake up?

keep your fingers crossed, dudeim thinking this may only be a problem with the Vodafone DHDs. Maybe the Sim free ones dont have this problem?
Can everyone post the software version maybe ther are different ?

Hi Sanju,
Dutch indeed ;-)
Both cover on the back and screen on the front now are nicely placed. No gaps whatsoever. No proximity issues either :
Bought my phone in a Vodafone shop. Swithed it two times (this is my third Desire HD) and they didn't make any fuzz about me replacing the handsets. Which is worth a compliment indeed! I even changed the second in a Vodafone shop at the other side of the country.
Regards,
But mine is still using the stock ROM.

Thanks for your reply mate.
I tried but I got this message:
Your phone is up to date.
There is no updates available for your phone.
1. Is it due to my version is South East Asia version which contains English, Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese input?
2. Do I have to unroot before checking for updates?
3. You mean version 1.7 is not rootable yet?
4. Any advice if I use other ROM? Any suggestion?
Thank you.
