i do have signal now. but sometimes i see my phone and shows now service and a reboot is required to get it connected again. Also when I do international with TMO, it doesnt connect to anything. Even tho TMO allows free data international

The full firmware should fix it since it has both the Bootloader and modem and it should fix any issue there may be with data drops.

Yes get Odin ready and unchecked auto reboot. I would do a full wipe before flash and after. Boot in recovery when you're done and wipe data cache and dalvik. Reboot and you should be golden.
