I've installed Holo Text Clock dark widget on my Gear.
Full screen black text clock on black wallpaper looks really nice! :)

Null_ 17, Nova launcher premium.

I've just installed voxer on my gear! This is becoming more and more like a spy watch every day lol

Devices:
- Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900W8 on X-Note 7.0 (ML2) with Compulsion Kernel 6.0
- Galaxy Gear on null_16 (MK7)

I installed a calculator, calendar and to do list.... None require the internet but make the watch much more functional.

Yes, you'll definitely need to be tethered, I'm also pretty sure you'd need root.

I don't know that I've seen any video tutorials, but the written tutorials up in the stickies should get you where you need to go. They're pretty concise and easy to follow along to.

I already said this on another thread, but here is also very fit:

- K9 Email app (veeeery small and light. It also enables "share to Email" option on default Camera app)
- Opera mini (for what you could search on Gear, it works extremely well and fast. It also compresses internet data, which is excelent as Gear´s BT connection is rather slow, and it also saves some 3G Data)
- Amazon app (imperative to compare prices)
- Idealo app (I live in Germany, fantastic to compare prices. It is also a light app)
- Button Savior for ROOT devices (Sometimes, like in Amazon app, you do not see the "settings" button. With Button savior, you can turn whenever you want "onscreen buttons", like "back" "settings" "home", etc. If you buy the PRO version, is even better!)
- Google Translate (it works extremely well).
- Bluetooth Settings shortcut (this is a free app, it allows you to directly go to BT Settings, and enable BT Internet Teethering. I tried the app "Bluetooth Auto Connect" but it does have too many options and too big for Gear IMHO. This BT shortcut does the trick and it uses only a couple of Kb)
- gReader (with Dark theme: it saves battery on AMOLED devices!)
- Alarm Clock (from MacroPinch. It is very small, uncomplicated, works well)

I also suggest that you people, for E-mail, RSS, Amazon, etc to turn "Auto-Sync Off", "Notifications Off", "Push off", etc, as it will save you a lot of battery and will make your Gear faster.

People that use Tablet Talk:
1) does it notifies also Whatapp, Viber, etc, or just SMS?
2) If I use both Gear Manager + Tablet Talk, do I become 2 notifications or just one of them?
3) If with both works well (Gear Manager & Tablet Talk), can I receive notifications and then answer with a keyboard through Tablet Talk?

People that use S-Voice to answer SMS (Non-US residentes please):
- Does your S-Voice answer works? Because on my Gear, it corrupts the SMS number, and triers to send an SMS to a wrong number (which fails). I live in Germany (both stock/Null ROM, I have a stock Note 3 and Gear Manager).

That one's nice, thanks. What I'm really trying to find is something that enables share to MMS. (Share to Facebook is already covered by FBQuickview, which is all that app is good for.)

So how is voxer functionality on the gear?

It's pretty good! I've been using it daily and it's working really well. Notifications come through on the gear, voice is crisp on clear on both ends. Only thing is taking a picture fc's the app, but aside from that it's nearly perfect :) Install it!! You won't be disappointed!

i live in switzerland and it breaks up the number aswell. i couldnt even say something.
if i hit "answer via s voice" it directly asks if it should send an sms with a broken number and text like "milliarden" predefined..

this is totally annoying, maybe we should report this issue to samsung

I'm waiting on my gear to arrive. I cant grasp how voxer works on the gear. I assume it is the native apk, but how does it interface with the app on the phone? I assume you have to have bluetooth internet tethering active and it operates independently of the voxer installed on your phone. Do you get double notifications how bad does it knock down battery life if you have to bluetooth internet tether full time?

What's so hard to grasp? It works the same as it would on your phone. Press and hold the button to talk, as soon as you release the button the voice message goes to the recipient!! Lol... Yes it is the native apk from the play store. Yes, you must be tethered to your phone via bluetooth. You don't need to have voxer on your phone, but if you do, yes, you'll get double notifications (unless of course you turn off notif on one device or the other). I pretty much always have bluetooth connected and my battery lasts from the time I wake up to the time I go to bed, which is good enough for me :)

The basic function wasnt the issue it was more of.. if you have an unread message that comes through on the phone and gear and you listen to it on the gear does it get marked as listened to on the other device. Is the bluetooth tether fast enough to handle the voice transfer smoothly or is it sluggish. Normally with voxer the live communication is buggy at best, where you have to just let it come though then listen to it. So is it worse on the gear because the bluetooth transfer is considerably slower or is it the same. Thanks for the feedback!

There isn't enough of a delay to bother me. I haven't had full blown conversions with it to be honest, but frankly, even if there is a bit of a delay it wouldn't faze me at all. And yes, if I listen on one device it clears it from the other device

Samsung's ChatOn program also has the walkie talkie function, and I love that to respond to messages with the family. Only issue is I had to stop treating it like S-voice or Siri and stop saying "question mark" or "exclamation point" lol
