Backup restore also don't work on a RAZRi

A Backup restore also don't work on a RAZRi, i think the Ultimate Backup Tool has his problem with this smartphone or with android 4.0.4.

Maybe we get some feedback in this thread, or is there a alternative backup tool without root?

I noticed that the wugfresh tool does do a similar thing with adb backup, but might be only for nexus devices.

That backup tool allows basically option 2, with shared data, apps and their data. Also allows, but doesn't recommend system apps plus data.

When I start back up a single app, it finishes but the backup file is only 1 KB

Hello.

I have the same problem with my note2 and android 4.1.2!

When i want to backup the data of my applications (5) my phone not ask me to set a password for the save or anything and UBT immediately say backup complete but the file is only 1Ko!

And when i want to save the data of only one application (7) my phone ask me if i want to save or no and to set a password and when it's done UBT say backup complete but the file is sill 1Ko, i have tried it many times with different applications but maybe I'm doing something wrong when i type the name of the application?

Have a big Problem Display is broken on my Note 1 and had a Display password so i can not acces my data if i plug in my computer shows the phone but i cant acces my Data...

Any one a idea how i can Do it?

First off let me just say that UBT is quite an elegant solution to be completely written in dos batch commands.

Next, It could be that I'm just rusty in my translation, but I think there is an issue in the single app backup command.

ubt.bat has
line 258 : adb backup ^<%App%^> -f "%Pfad%"

I think it should be:
adb backup %App% -f "%Pfad%"

I don't know what the ^< and ^> do, but they don't seem to work for me. Also, that only backs up the app data.

For the apk backup it should be:
adb backup %App% -f "%Pfad%" -apk

I didn't mess with the bat file much, so I may have these wrong. I did it manually with adb commands. Some examples are:

adb backup com.rubicon.dev.gbwg -f "c:\ubt\backups\war_apk.ab" -apk
adb backup com.anod.calendar -f "c:\ubt\backups\cal_apk.ab" -apk
adb backup au.com.shiftyjelly.pocketcasts -f "c:\ubt\backups\pocketcasts_apk.ab" -apk

Will this work for rooting?

i have backed up my system apps and data (option 3) . Thank you a Brilliant tool!

.. Will this also work to root my phone Its the S3 international Version with flashed official 4.1.2 Firmware ??

Not Working Sony W19i

Hi, this looks like a brilliant tool but i can't get it to work. My phone is Sony Live with Walkman W19i, Android 4.0.4, USB Debugging is on. This phone has not been rooted. When i select option 1, hit enter the "watch your phone" messages flashes on for half a second then nothing happens, no message appears on the phone screen. same thing with the adb, briefly flashes on the pc screen. Can anyone help me to get this to run please? Thanks, Ray p.s. i'm using Go Launcher ex.

I performed a full backup without system apps (option 2) on my Nexus 4. When I restored the backup, I find that none of the paid apps have been restored. I *could* install them manually from the Play Store, but the games are very huge and I do not want to download them all over again.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there any way to restore paid apps as well?

I'm having some trouble running the option 3 backup on an EVO LTE. When I run the backup , I get the backup screen on the device and the dialog on the PC as normal, but it doesn't complete the backup before I see the 'backup complete' popup on the PC.
Of the few times I tried, it mostly does this when backing up com.htc.calendar
About a third of the time, it turns off USB debugging on the device, and I have to go back in to developer options to turn it back on.

Can anyone advise?

Running stock ROM, not rooted
SW version 3.15.651.16 710RD

Looks like I licked this already. I was using a front USB port earlier. Moved my connection to one of the rear USB ports and stopped getting this error.

Any got it to work on the Sony Xperia Arc (Lt15i)???
There is only this "Backup complete" window popping up and then it returns to the start screen without asking anything or saving a backup :S

error connecting?

Hi, guys! Somehow when tab SGN 10.1 connected to a PC, UBTool says like "adb server didn't ask failed to start daemon. error cannot connect to daemon. daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037". What could be wrong? Android ADB Interface Drivers are installed, Win7 x64.

Backup Failed

Hi I am trying to backup my AT&T SIII but for some reason 1.3.2 keeps failing. When ever I try to backup anything I get a window saying backup failed. So I decided to use 1.3 and it works. I am sure what the problem is but can someone help me with how to use the capture problem in 1.3.2 so I can post the log here.

Restore UBT Files

Hi,
I using a Samsung Galaxy S2. I backed up my device with no 2 "backup all without System apps".
UBT pruduced a 6 GB file.
After I had updated my device to 4.1.3 I recoverd my device with the backup file. Only few minutes later, the backup are ready. But no app was restored, no app, no Wifi, nothing.

DO I something wrong?
A Goal for me would be that I could revocer the tracks from the app "my tracks from Google" how could I recover them.
Could I recover the backupfile manully and copy the tracks back?

Not able to restore!

Hey guys
I had backed up my phone(app data) using the Ultimate Backup Tool and then I factory resetted my phone
After the reset I wasn't able to restore it
It comes "Restoration Started" and immediately "Restoration Ended"
None of my data was restored
I tried doing it manually from adb also but no use!
Can someone help me,

ERROR

ok guys, my problem is this:
I installed all drivers, flash mode, so developer and usb mass storage mode.
UBT put the folder C :/ / UBT, and ran the command prompt.
singleappbackup the file gives an error, device not found.
UBT file says the same.
I have installed, SKD, and RK30tool ADB, together with all packages SDK Manager.
Would you like to try to install a backup firmware rooted, because I'm afraid of losing my data and applications.

Sry my english, I used the google translator, im from Brasil.
