Im confused. You mean under advanced wipe or formatting data? I ask because ive advanced wiped several times now and it hasnt wiped the internal card, but if I format data it will.
What are the exact steps you are using?

On 2.5+
I needed to format/wipe the internal sdcard for scotts cleanrom. In this case I removed my sdcard and clicked format data which did the trick.
Usually however, I just swipe across, as it says that wipes everything except internal sdcard.
In those cases when I just want to wipe dalvik cache and cache, I would click advanced and check the appropriate checkboxes
On 2.4.-
I just chose wipe, then wipe internal. Which formatted my sdcard (or so I thought)
Not a huge deal I guess, just a bit different.
If im understanding correctly, clicking "advanced", then choosing: cache, dalvik, data, and system does not wipe the internal sdcard? But formatting data will?
It's not as intuitive at all. The wipe options on 2.4.4.0 were better than the newest version. I actually put the old version back on.
This might seem like a dumb question and if so im sorry, but how do I go from 2.4 to 2.5?
Fastest, easiest way would be using the goo manager app. Open app, menu, select install open recovery script, and does the rest for ya.
I've tried all the options. The only way to wipe the internal card is to format data. Beware you should remove the external first or itll wipe that too
Not sure what you been by being less intuitive. It's straightforward as it has always been...just requires that you read. I, for one, prefer the newest version for little improvements like being able to wipe multiple things at once, rather than one at a time.

I am can not get this or any recovery to find my extsd card. I have a SanDisk 64g formatted to fat32. Any ideas?

I love love love TW, you guys do great work.
I do have a suggestion though. With the new update when you select wipe it automatically defaults to a factory wipe. You have to go to advanced options to just wipe the cache or dalvik. I think this could lead to people accidentally wiping their entire system inadvertently. I think the old wipe screen layout was better where you had the chance to choose what you wanted to wipe as opposed to defaulting to the entire system.
This happened to me today. I was doing a simple flash from beans 13 to 14. I had everything backed up, but to the internal memory. With the new version I thought was wiping cache, dalvik and factory reset, but my entire internal memory was formated. Luckily I had titanium set to go to my sdcard. I really think the wording and format of the previous version was easier to understand for all the wiping features. I'm pretty techie and feel dumb that this change bit me. Could have been a disaster.

I still much prefer your work to CWM, but my favorite part of TWRP was how logical the wipe options and everything were laid out. Maybe I'm just too resistant to change
I had the same problem, except what was weird about it was that it backed up slimrom to extsd just fine but when I switched to beans 25 and tried to back up, no cigar
twrp rocks...can't wait to use for kitkat...if u needs more testers im down...if not i will patiently wait.
I saw a post online that the new 2.7 version was release, but when I go to the official pages, or through goo.im, its still 2.6.3. Is there an updated link anywhere for the latest?
