I decide to buy one, came in today. Seems solid, the extended cover fits surprisingly well, and looks good too. Will report back with battery life after a few cycles.

I can confirm that the battery is good. Paid 11$ on ebay, it does not have 3600Mah of course, my Battery monitor widget estimates 2700-2800Mah. That still means 1150 Mah more than original = 60% more power.
It does a pretty noticeable difference. It is ok.
Sure, you pay the price of size... and say what you will, it is a really big phone now. It was sort of thick even before, now it is a monster. Easier to hold? maybe, but ugly.
Still, I prefer performance over style, so I will keep this one as my main battery. Now, let's see how much time it will last.

Bought this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/251124824283 the brand is named "Kevis".
The battery worked 20 hours of heavy usage (3 days) with factory charge.
Visual quality is better than Mugen's (I have Mugen 4200mah for g1).

And I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck with them. And yes, mugen extended is still the battery of choice. Wasn't there "acesoft" batteries at one point too?
