hi friends, i have a pobleme i flashed a room from chineese forum , but now the wifi & the bluetooth dont work can somebudy upload his stock rom for me ? help wanted pleaze

i have finally found a rom on russian forum and wifi work thanks my friends if anyone want my rom send me a message i can upload it

Doesn't work with 3.4 kernel, have to cook recovery and root through recovery...

Turbojo when I go to flash the recovery and use the scatter file in the rom.zip you provided it says it has a bad preloader file when I try to use SP Flash tool. I am using ver 3.1224.01. Am I doing something wrong?

Turbojo's upload is e1911_v77_gq2000_a41_6628_v20_20121226 & its corrupted so everyone stop downloading & save your bandwidth... :eek:
i know its frustrating to download something so huge in size & then you found out that it doesn't work & he doesn't wanna take it down...

That link to Russian site is here but i must WARN you that SP Flash Tool is a very dangerous tool & many has take it for granted & try out whatever function in it & they flash whatever ROMs they find & at last they brick it...

For N9776, there are two main hardware revision & many OS revision...
1) e1911_v77_gq2000_ov5647 -> Uses MT6620 chipset
2) e1911_v77_gq2000_9p017_6628 -> Uses MT6628 chipset & they change the name to e1911_v77_gq2000_a41_6628_v20 ( Updated to 4.1.1 )

For e1911_v77_gq2000_ov5647, below are the sub OS revision
1) Last version 20121023_e1911_v77_gq2000_ov5647 -> Don't be fool by its Android Version = 4.1.1, it is still using API Level 15... :eek:
2) 20121016_e1911_v77_gq2000_ov5647

Just did some thread following up on china.iphone.ru... :eek:

it turns out that there are emergence of cheaper version of N9776 & i thought to myself how the price dropped so fast & it turns out that it is indeed the cheaper version MT6575... :eek:

MT6575 is Pin-to-pin compatible with MT6577 so some clever manufacturer instead of upgrading, they are downgrading N9776... :laugh:

So pls make sure & don't just flash blindly, all these here are for MT6577... :cool:

I'm getting this phone soon, ordered it, Star N9776 mtk6577 1.2 ghz chip. Is this the same phone you guys are talking about here? If not, will this rom work on it too?

All ROMs here are for support of obsolete hardware & yours is suppose to be the latest version, my friend & you wouldn't want it... :eek:

However, pls do update here when you have receive yours & if its the latest JB with 4.1.2 then i want your boot.img... :D

Hello,

I got this start N9776 yesterday, bought at dx.com.
The phone is great for just 170$, but there is a problem I can't solve: can't enable wifi & BT. I read some posts here and I found the solution: root the device and delete 1 file in /System.

But I can't root. Any rooting process has 2 steps. I can't apply the 2nd because it doesn't restart itself, I have to remove battery always.
Factory ROM is N9776-e1911_v77_gq2000_a41_6628_v20_20130128 kernel 3.4.0.
I have tried MTK Root, Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v17, Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18. No luck.

Please any help?? I bought 3 of them and all have the same problem.

I put up a hardware investment info and there I see that 5MP instead of 12Mp on the camera unit. How can that be?

Root, refer to above, increase ROM, you mean data partition, SPFT sn85

AFAIK, for MT6577 max is 8Mpx, only latest MT6589 supports true 12Mpx...:laugh:

Thanks for your help .. I looked on google, but all other options other writes of the device, which is 1.0 processor version is 1.2.
I really do not understand the camera, I'm happy to say I do not have a 5MP 12MP device but just do not understand how you got into it if it was all up to 8MP write.

I guess the factory ran out of little more than a camera and was thrown into it? :)

Hi, I managed (after long troubleshooting) to root the phone and replace mtk_stp_wmt.ko with the one provided by you and, after rebooting, I keep without wifi and BT. :(
Any other option? Thanks.

    easy solution for beginners

    Rooting the N9776 is not so hard as many of you think, but you have to read and understand carefully!
    This is the procedure for rooting the e1911_v77_gq2000_a41_6628_v20 fw


    installing CWM recovery:

    - unzip the attached e1911_v77_gq2000_a41_6628_v20_130424_cwmrecovery.zip file to a folder
    - open sp flash tool, select the scatter file from the cwmrecovery folder and ONLY select recovery.img and boot.img (double click on each and choose boot_patched.img and recovery_patched.img)
    - remove the battery from your phone and disconnect any usb cable from your phone
    - push download in the flashtool and quickly connect the usb cable with the phone

    Flashing should now start.
    If not, you don't have the correct USB driver installed on your PC. Install and try again (USB driver attached)

    ROOTING:

    - put the CWM-SuperSU zipfile on your SD card
    - Boot your phone to recovery (power and vol+)
    - Select install zip from SD card and select CWM-SuperSU

    Done, restart your phone, you are rooted now.

    Bro, this is one of the easiest device to root but wait JB 3.4 kernel... :eek: i want your Factory ROM... :D

    Use my tut to gain root & backup your Factory ROM then upload to d-h.st... :laugh:

    Doesn't work with 3.4 kernel, have to cook recovery and root through recovery...

    Attached cooked recovery for N9776 JB 4.1.1 3.4 kernel.
