Actually, that is what I am doing.
Here is an exhaustive step list of what I am doing:
- Boot into CWM recovery
- Wipe /system, /data and /cache
- Install latest PAC zip from external SD Card (sdcard1)
- Remove external sdcard and select "restart system"
- Wait until it fully boots
- Enable USB Debugging and Root over ADB
- Connect YPG1 to computer, run "adb root" and "adb shell"
- Connect external sdcard, cp -r .../sdcard1/efs/* /efs/ and exit shell
- Reboot to see that everything still works (with ext sdcard in)
- Reboot into Recovery
- Install Impulse-r4.zip and select "restart system"
- See that the device freezes when the screen turns on with "SAMSUNG" written on the screen
