[Q] first time root my Xperia Z1

i want root my sony Xperia Z1 and this is first time , than i found a post and read it....

Question:
1)before the RW version 14.3.A.0.757 , in this version 14.3.A.0.681 want root first? or can just follow the step root it?

2)what is De-ODEX?

1) Flash a FTF file ending in .534 (Find the file and the instructions in the Mega collection thread in general)
2) Install Dual Recovery (Find the files and instructions in the dual recovery thread in the cross device development section)
3) Install the rom you have linked to following the instructions in that ROM

De-odex means the odex files of all the system apks have been incorporated into the apk making modding of them easier.
