Using chrome I've found glitches I've never seen before.
The screen shots are only half. It flickers super fast between what the screen shot is and what normally would be seen(aka not glitches)

Like 20 flickers a second. And only after I type a character on the keyboard.

If the battery indicator is accurate, the battery life on this ROM is freaking fantastic! ^_^
There aren't any battery stats available and CPU Spy can't read state files

Blue is definitely when the phone is awake, could you check with betterbatterystats? Just curious if it's caused by CM or just the apps you've installed.

Pod0087 requested this back in the old thread, wondering if someone on the rom can try it for him?

Sorry about the Play store unsupported device issue, it should be fixed.
I accidentally overwrote the PRODUCT_COPY_FILES directive containing the various device permissions when sourcing a GPS makefile.
If you still have the problem you can try clearing Google Play, Play Framework, Google Framework Services app settings and rebooting.
Failing that, factory reset. (it's strange, but the Google Play frameworks seem to save your device permissions from the first time it starts)

I can confirm the low in-call speaker, though I haven't yet tried speaker phone.

Also, I updated my htc drivers, and adb is working again :)

Since the facebook FC issue is sorted, I'm looking into the camera FC and also looking into implementing a hack to enable FB to update contacts. The one thing I hate about AOSP ROMS is lack of ability to use FB contact photos. That's just how I'm used to finding people in my contacts. God forbid I have to READ their names! This is 2012. I deserve to recognize folks by their faces, or at least their meme of the moment.

It's basically some political bs between Google and Facebook. They don't like eachother much from my understanding. I agree, Facebook sync should be built in.

I'm hoping we can do the same trick we had in ICS, which is to explicitly add premissions for FB to the ContactsProvider, and then modify the contacts2 db with the is_required field that FB needs.

In the mean time, I think I tracked down the source of the camera issue. I believe it's trying to use a surface with the wrong dimensions. I'm just syncing the code now to start peeking around to see if I can see where the surface is constructed.

Number one rule of cyanogenmod...never ask for ETAs

Mainly because you never know what will happen...you give out an eta and something comes up or doesn't work the way you planned and can't finish by the eta then there will always be those people that get mad (not saying you would...but others may)

HaxSync has always worked for me with FB contacts. Dunno if they've made it compatible with JB yet tho.

They have, but you have to download an extra app for the JB work-around. HaxSync prompts you to download it, so no need to look for it

As zero said...it has nothing to do with if a phone can handle it...sadly we live in a world hat is driven by money....with that said, there number one concern is making money (both service provider and HTC) and the best way to make money is to not update there software forcing the end consumer to want to upgrade there phone in order to stay up to date...this apply to pretty much everything in life now a days

Does anyone know where to point me to figure out how the heck I take - for example the Camera/Gallery - from JB and build it (and preferably debug and unit test) without building the entire CM10? I've got over 10 years experience in Java, but the whole architecture of Android is still beyonde me, and there are surprisingly few guides out there that cover more than "here's how you build the whole branch". Why are there so few (and often none at all) advanced tutorials around?

I guess they think its too hard to explain. Doesn't the camera need lib files?

    CyanogenMod 10 is a free, community built distribution of Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) which greatly extends the capabilities of your phone.

    Code:
    #include
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
     */

    This is the official Weekly Build of CM10 for the HTC Holiday (Vivid 4G/Velocity/Raider).

    Installation Instructions
    1. Go to http://get.cm/?device=holiday and download the latest weekly.
    2. Locate Gapps via a quick Google search.
    3. Fully wipe your device from Recovery if you are not coming from CM10 already.
    4. Reboot into recovery and install.

    Remember, if you are S-On, you will have to take the boot.img out of the cm.zip and flash it manually via fastboot. If you flash this and your phone just reboots, you are most likely S-On and need to perform that procedure.

    Huge thanks:
    synergye, IOmonster & mg2195 - For getting the Holiday to where it was.
    intervigil - Helping me understand 8660 differences from 8960.
    homeslice - Helping out while I've been unavailable.

    So some pretty decent news so far, more to come:

    * Bluetooth now initializes without an hci-kickstart (hopefully should get rid of that horrendous drain

    Testing to validate this:
    * Battery drain is gone (UPDATE: had BT on w/o paired device for 30 min and then with paired device for 30 min. battery hasn't went down from 100%!)
    * a2dp audio works (UPDATE: Works like a champ!)
    * Bluetooth calling (UPDATE: works!)
    * Bluetooth Tethering (UPDATE: not working yet, will work on it)

    I know i missed the "weekly" marker to get this stuff in, assuming it all works. But if it all does, I will build another build and give it to you today.

    More to come.....good lord I'm excited this is finally starting to move forward!

    UPDATE: I'm updating OP since i've pushed and merged these things into CM now :).

    Issues:
    • HW video playback may have artifacts or other issues. Turn on Force GPU Rendering in Developer Options to fix.
    How to use MTP to mount internal and external storage simultaneously:
    1. Go to Settings
    2. Go to Storage
    3. Press Menu key
    4. Choose "USB Connection Type"
    5. Choose "Media device (MTP)"
    * Windows will mount this automatically.

    * Linux is a little tricky, but not too difficult, see the following:
    1. Edit /etc/udev/rules.d/51-android.rules to include these lines for adb and mtp:
    2. SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ATTR{idVendor}=="0bb4", MODE="0666", GROUP="plugdev"
    3. SUBSYSTEM=="usb", SYSFS{idVendor}=="0bb4", MODE="0666"
    4. install gmtp; for debian/ubuntu type: sudo apt-get install gmtp
    5. open gmtp and hit the connect button (be patient)

    Report all issues to the Issues List here. Don't create duplicate issues, just star the issue if you can reproduce as well.
