Not working on my Evo Shift, tried the device disabled apk. Audio is fine, screen is white.

Some people just root the device and don't load a new ROM,etc. That would be rooted and stock?
If one does not root, they must be stock. Unless there's a way to load another ROM and unroot after that for some reason.

I don't get the unsupported device popup but it still doesn't work. After you've told it to start a movie it tries to stream and then dumps you back to the Q.
This is with the no device check.apk.
Netflix Master Hack May Work On [Non Supported] Android Mobile Devices

This device is 2 years old, only has 236MB internal, and is only overclocked to 710mhz and Netflix is running fine.
My new HTC Inspire will only play audio, no video. CM7 on the Inspire seems to be doing fine, and the new version of the ROM I'm running (TPGB for the Inspire) has an update today that should enable audio and video in Netflix.

No dice for mesmerize / fascinate devices with this...unless of course they are running the CM rom...which is still not really worth it functionality wise just yet.
Doesn't work on my Xoom, when it tries to start streaming it says it can't connect to Netflix service(think it's error 1005). Xoom is rooted, running 3.1, Tiamat 1.4.2 overclock kernel.

Try moving some of the DRM System APKs to your device, from the Galaxy S devices that work.
Don't know if this has been mentioned, but if you're on a Captivate and only getting audio, try turning your screen on and off, it fixed my video when nothing else worked.

11For those who had to modify their build.prop to get Netflix to work correctly, try using this apk file instead of modifying your build.prop. You may get a date and time error, just got back into the Netflix app and you should be OK. I've disabled the device check in the apk.

The Netflix Master Hack can be accomplished via the tool, "Root Explorer", go to system> build.prop, tap/hold on the build.prop file. A drop menu will appear, scroll down to "Open in Text Editor", tap on "Open in Text Editor" and edit the file lines below....
When you finish editing the file lines, tap on the bottom center "Windows key", another pop up menu will appear, tap on "Save&Exit", back out back to your home screen and "Reboot" your HD2 ...
PLEASE NOTE: Before editing your build.prop lines, you might want to copy the build.prop file to your SD Card, before editing/making any changes to the build.prop lines, just to be safe ...
