After setting up all the usual accounts etc I would like to check out the streaming capabilities and see if I can watch a movie wirelessly on my tv, like I can with my GS3. but I might get distracted by the camera and want to see what all the fuss is about.

The first thing I'll do is get to know android. :p Coming from an iPhone 4 and been waiting to upgrade for a while, I knew that i needed a change due to just how closed and bland iOS is, even with a jailbreak. Can't wait to get my HTC One. It'll be good not to be an owner of an apple product anymore.

Thanks. :D After being on a popular iOS forum for so long an even being a moderator, people there aren't too happy about my choice but Apple really just sucks. I never liked android until ICS came out, and once i saw Project Butter in Jellybean, I knew that Apple was going to need to step it up with there next iPhone, but they didn't while it was nicer looking physically than all android phones, it lacked innovation just like iOS6 did. Once i saw the build of the One, the aluminum body was what sold me in to wanting to get it. A build that rivals the iPhone, and the superiority of android jellybean. :) So I decided to join XDA and have some fun here and meet a few people before i get my HTC One from AT&T. Too bad i wont be out the 14th. I can wait though. :p

why would you want blink feed off? i mean you can just swipe it away. add more homescreens. make select your permanent home screen and you have blink feed on the very right or left of your homescreens.

im gonna go to xnxx and watch some porn videos ;]

Haha I remember that day when everyone was having a melt down. It was quite hilarious to watch but the number of people asking for alternatives was mind numbingly annoying. >.> If you go to there website now its gonna be a "Novo Spa Massage Therapy Website". The closing of hackulous had no impact on me, besides having to deal with too many people asking for alternatives.

A lot of hate towards blink feed ;) lol imo its actually looks pretty good! Interesting idea. Don't know how the battery life will be affected by it but it seems like I'm like the only person who kind of digs it

I'll run with it .. after all, it's just another home page widget ... there's just more stuff in the one widget than the previous sense collection - which can't be too bad a thing ...

I think quite often the 'bold and the free' just don't like being told what they can and can't have ...

'Mandatory software' is like removable batteries vs external power packs .. and the lack of SD card slots

Well ... All i can say is 'external power packs' and 'cloud storage' ... I'm 63 already and I'm not that far out of touch that I can't see the benefit of universally accessible cloud storage as an alternative to fiddly bits of plastic, and solar rechargeable BIG capacity power packs vs the odd extra battery.
