The touch works great pinch to zoom is no problem anymore  can someone explan what was wrong?

Gesendet von meinem HTC One S mit Tapatalk 2

xkonni wrote a few posts earlier: "Touchscreen driver had problems deregistering single events. If you had 3 fingers on it and released 1, all 3 would be released. Bad for gaming."

The long-press issue was related to this, too.

The answer to your question is just a few posts above yours.
Please read at least the last few pages (e.g. until the first post concerning the last Alpha Build) before posting a question as this keeps the thread way cleaner & easier to follow!

Touchscreen driver had problems deregistering single events. If you had 3 fingers on it and released 1, all 3 would be released. Bad for gaming.
& this also lead to a problem with registering long touches

One question, is possible in reverse tethering? That is, take the PC connection via USB without the need for programs?

I'll also try the new boot:good:

Thanks in advance and the work you do!;)

Edit: When the new boot fastboot flash, flash the rom back to later, right?

Did not get you. Ask in spanish, please. :)

I dont think cm supports reverse tethering, but i may be wrong.

If you're on alpha14, you dont need to flash the rom again after flashing boot.

Hope i got your question right ;)

As I have been asked in the AOKP-thread how to flash the touchscreenfix-boot.img I copy paste the guide I wrote onto here, perhaps it might help some folks. Pls be aware that this could damage your phone & I'm not responsible for this. so only do this if you really feel comfortable with it & you know about the risks (if someone detects a mistake, pls tell me as it's late where I live ;))

So, I even posted a whole new thread about flashing the boot.img:

[Tutorial] How to flash a new boot.img via Fastboot

how do i send that command like what do i open up in windows and what do i type for the commands could you give me a quick step by step on flashing that boot img, im in fastboot usb what do i do next on my pc

Well, first you need to have the Android SDK installed as fastboot comes with it. Make also sure you have your Phone's drivers installed (if not download HTC Sync & install it, this should install the drivers)

this guide is very helpfull:
How to install fastboot and ADB
instead of installing the whole Android SDK (which takes some time (approximately > half an hour)) it should be enough if you just download the files given in the guide. But I didn't try it.

after installing adb, navigate to android -> platform-tools ; press shift & right klick then "open prompt from this directory"
reboot your phone into bootloader mode & check if it says fastboot USB (or USB fastboot ?! dk atm)
search for your device with the command
Code:
fastboot devices

if it gives you a device, copy the boot-touchscreen-fix.img you downloaded from ville.giev.de into the folder platform-tools & then execute the command
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot-touchscreen-fix.img

wait for it to suceed then enter
Code:
fastboot reboot

your phone should then reboot & the touchscreen should be working.

A tip from xkonni somewhere in the cm9 thread that stands to be repeated is that to verify a successful fastboot flash of a boot.img is checking the date, time etc in settings-about phone-kernel version

BE AWARE THAT I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE IF IT DOESNT WORK OR BREAKS YOUR PHONE! THIS IS JUST THE WAY I UPDATE THE BOOT.IMG ON MY PHONE! BE ALSO AWARE THAT THE FIXED BOOT.IMG IS FOR CM9 AND NOT FOR AOKP WHICH COULD (not must) BREAK THINGS WORKING ATM

Okay LPA definitely means Low Power Audio, when I connect my soundsystem via AUX with Build 13 I need to turn the volume all the way up to hear at least a little bit of music, same goes with my Headphones.

Is anybody else having the issue that audio is too quiet since Alpha 13?

[edit] this happens on "simfy", youtube is louder. I can't check it with the music app, as I have no mp3s on my phone

I can confirm this as well... Was using stitcher and had the same problem.:what:

Anyone having issues with Location History in Maps being disabled? I'm wanting to try Google Now on CM9 (http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1747224).

I have everything enabled in Settings | Location Services but when I go to Maps and Location settings I'm logged in and Location reporting is set to update automatically but when I try to Enable location history I get the screen where you select Enable location history I do that and then select Agree & Continue and I get kicked out to the App Drawer. It's like I can't get location history to stay enabled.

On some devices (like mine) the script does not write the boot.img properly. You can try and use the alpha14 .zip file and just replace the boot.img with the "fixed" one. After that just flash the zip as always. This will not break anything, but - i said - for me this would not work. Why not fastboot? :)

Worked like a charm. Thanks again for the advice!

Found the issue with sound and building alpha14 with some more kernel changes.

Early fix is in the attachment.
    Code:
    unzip audio-fix.zip
    adb remount
    adb push audio.primary.msm8960.so /system/lib/hw
    adb reboot

    Sorry for the troubles!

The "unlock with menu-button" function doesnt work since the latest update.

    Greets

    Love your port ;)

That's because the button is now APP_SWITCH.

Uploaded a new version with configurable button layout.

As the changed button layout in last update apparently wasn't taken so well, I merged two patches from gerrit to make it configurable.
The configuration is in Settings -> System -> Hardware keys. "Show action overflow" checkbox enables the menu key in ICS-Apps, if you mapped a key to menu or not.

Hope you like this better and thanks a lot to Phil for this patch!
