this has nothing to do with the rom, but im super frustrated right now

i downloaded 1.2 , put it onto my kindle from usb toggling in the os

then went to restart in order to flash, and now it is getting stuck at firefirefire (1.3) screen

it wont boot into the os, or into recovery...this has never happened before

long press will turn off and on, but thats it...

wtffff

i havent touched anything to do with fastboot in months - for some reason it appears i got stuck in 4002 mode.

adb wasnt even recognizing the fire.... i used kfu to finally just select 4000 mode, and even though it said no devices, it finally rebooted and im all good

phew

Installed 1.2, but same problems while gaming: games like Blood & Glory start, works well for a little while, then suddenly the screen freezes, the kf is frozen and have to restart tablet with power button pressed.
For other games as Extreme Racing or Dark Legends, they starts as well and after few minutes same problem, screen freezes and the kf must be powered off, all frozen. Then when I restart those games are disappeared from the app drawer and app list, they are auto-uninstalled. Got the same problem on 1.1 and don't know if it's normal for everyone or is it just me ^^.
Btw the rom seems good, just the power off option doesn't work but think is still normal.
Starting Chrome beta says "not supported for your version of android. minimal version is 4.0".

I think the freezing has to do with no HW Acceleration.

if it was for this reason those games dont' have to work anytime and I think they couldn't start also. and all games. but now only some games act like this and randomly

Yeah, I'd been running the 3-19 version of the standard ICS rom since then and never had issues. I was playing Oregon Trail Settlers yesterday after I installed this and 3x it locked up and I had to hold power button to reboot. Never happened with the old rom.

Rome
I just flashed 1.2 and I'm experiencing some very strange issues like no wifi ( I can't turn it on ) and a sluggish interface. I'm rolling back to 1.1

Just installed this rom and it is great so far. Awesome work OP.

When i look at the Time in state for the CPU, it mainly stays at 800mhz although my settings are: Min 300 Max 1200 Ondemand.

My CPU temperature sensor seems to be wonky. Attached photo.

Everything is running perfectly smoothly for me on my end so far, not that I expected anything less. I do have one question, though: where do we get the flashable buttons from? I tried installing the stock pack from the site that was referenced, but it keeps aborting the installation of the zip in CWM.

For some reason all of my wallpapers look either too zoomed in or low resolution. How can I make them fit the screen better or look sharper? Do i need to get HD wallpapers, any special app to get them or site?

Well, I stopped using the wallpapers i was getting from "zedge" app and got "picspeed" app which are all HD wallpapers and that fixed the problem.

How come when i uninstall titanium backup it just comes back automatically? I used rom toolbox and it said "uninstalled" but then it pops right back up again. Same thing with chrome beta.

EDIT: I clicked manage this time, then clear data, disable, force stop, then uninstalled. Now they both show up as grey in the rom toolbox and are no longer in the apps menu. Guess that did it?

Edit 2: When i went to play store it showed both as still installed as it only had "update" listed for options. I rebooted and both show "uninstall" option and it finally uninstalled them for good.

Re-installing Chrome beta from play store makes it functional. So you must uninstall the version that came with the rom 1st, the install from store.

Awesome ReloadedROM build!

Been on this for almost a day... very, very quick... this could be the fastest ICS ROM I have flashed. Still *fine tuning*. Had a couple of freezes clocked at 1.3, then dropped it to 1.2 and had a couple more, but they occurred when taking my KF off charge (was in landscape mode) and I think it froze making the transition to portrait. I set my homescreens to landscape only (apps still rotate into portrait when open) and I haven't had any more as of yet. We'll see how tonight and tomorrow goes...

On a separate note... and slightly off topic, but not too bad... I changed my DPI from 160 to 120 because of a lot of apps being interpreted as a phone - and this is perhaps the very best tweak I have done in a long time. Shoot, even ADW EX gave me more buttons to use via my homescreens. Now, everything got a LOT smaller, but still able to read everything, and everything looks so neat and un-crowded. If you want the space of a 10" tablet on your 7" KF, changing your DPI to 120 or thereabouts is a great way to do it. I know I love the way my KF looks now! Widgets don't gobble up my homescreens anymore, and my apps look like they were meant for a tablet, not a phone.

I can get chrome to load. Just not function. I get a plain white screen

Love this ROM! Just got the KF and this was the first thing I did. Even with the SOD and FC's, but to be expected... I personally like the new update, quick and snappy just straight out of the install and all day use... but big annoyance is when opening the drawer, BLACK screen and NOTHING! Have to back out and try again. Other than that, Love It!!

    CPU GOVERNOR OVERVIEW:
    Performance Governor:
This locks the phone's CPU at maximum frequency. While this may sound like an ugly idea, there is growing evidence to suggest that running a phone at its maximum frequency at all times will allow a faster race-to-idle. Race-to-idle is the process by which a phone completes a given task, such as syncing email, and returns the CPU to the extremely efficient low-power state. This still requires extensive testing, and a kernel that properly implements a given CPU's C-states (low power states). For more on this, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus GLaDOS kernel from developer Ezekeel has been a pioneer in this space.

    Conservative Governor:
This biases the phone to prefer the lowest possible clockspeed as often as possible. In other words, a larger and more persistent load must be placed on the CPU before the conservative governor will be prompted to raise the CPU clockspeed. Depending on how the developer has implemented this governor, and the minimum clockspeed chosen by the user, the conservative governor can introduce choppy performance. On the other hand, it can be good for battery life.

The Conservative Governor is also frequently described as a "slow OnDemand," if that helps to give you a more complete picture of its functionality.

    OnDemand Governor:
This governor has a hair trigger for boosting clockspeed to the maximum speed set by the user. If the CPU load placed by the user abates, the OnDemand governor will slowly step back down through the kernel's frequency steppings until it settles at the lowest possible frequency, or the user executes another task to demand a ramp.

OnDemand has excellent interface fluidity because of its high-frequency bias, but it can also have a relatively negative effect on battery life versus other governors. OnDemand is commonly chosen by smartphone manufacturers because it is well-tested, reliable, and virtually guarantees the smoothest possible performance for the phone. This is so because users are vastly more likely to ***** about performance than they are the few hours of extra battery life another governor could have granted them.

This final fact is important to know before you read about the Interactive governor: OnDemand scales its clockspeed in a work queue context. In other words, once the task that triggered the clockspeed ramp is finished, OnDemand will attempt to move the clockspeed back to minimum. If the user executes another task that triggers OnDemand's ramp, the clockspeed will bounce from minimum to maximum. This can happen especially frequently if the user is multi-tasking. This, too, has negative implications for battery life.

    Userspace Governor:
This governor, exceptionally rare for the world of mobile devices, allows any program executed by the user to set the CPU's operating frequency. This governor is more common amongst servers or desktop PCs where an application (like a power profile app) needs privileges to set the CPU clockspeed.

    Powersave Governor:
The opposite of the Performance governor, the Powersave governor locks the CPU frequency at the lowest frequency set by the user.

    Interactive Governor:
Much like the OnDemand governor, the Interactive governor dynamically scales CPU clockspeed in response to the workload placed on the CPU by the user. This is where the similarities end. Interactive is significantly more responsive than OnDemand, because it's faster at scaling to maximum frequency.

Unlike OnDemand, which you'll recall scales clockspeed in the context of a work queue, Interactive scales the clockspeed over the course of a timer set arbitrarily by the kernel developer. In other words, if an application demands a ramp to maximum clockspeed (by placing 100% load on the CPU), a user can execute another task before the governor starts reducing CPU frequency. This can eliminate the frequency bouncing discussed in the OnDemand section. Because of this timer, Interactive is also better prepared to utilize intermediate clockspeeds that fall between the minimum and maximum CPU frequencies. This is another pro-battery life benefit of Interactive.

However, because Interactive is permitted to spend more time at maximum frequency than OnDemand (for device performance reasons), the battery-saving benefits discussed above are effectively negated. Long story short, Interactive offers better performance than OnDemand (some say the best performance of any governor) and negligibly different battery life.

Interactive also makes the assumption that a user turning the screen on will shortly be followed by the user interacting with some application on their device. Because of this, screen on triggers a ramp to maximum clockspeed, followed by the timer behavior described above.

By far, Interactive is the default governor of choice for today's smartphone and tablet manufacturers.

    InteractiveX Governor:
Created by kernel developer "Imoseyon," the InteractiveX governor is based heavily on the Interactive governor, enhanced with tuned timer parameters to better balance battery vs. performance. The InteractiveX governor's defining feature, however, is that it locks the CPU frequency to the user's lowest defined speed when the screen is off.

    Hotplug Governor:
The Hotplug governor performs very similarly to the OnDemand governor, with the added benefit of being more precise about how it steps down through the kernel's frequency table as the governor measures the user's CPU load. However, the Hotplug governor's defining feature is its ability to turn unused CPU cores off during periods of low CPU utilization. This is known as "hotplugging."

Obviously, this governor is only available on multi-core devices.

    Bugs Explained and Coming Soon

    Bugs explained:

    Code:
    [SIZE="3"]Kernel 3.0 (v1.2H) - Bugs:

    - Only flash in TWRP
    - Black screen for awhile on boot, wait it out
    - Notification graphic glitch (my error, being fixed in v1.3 and v1.3H)
    - Wifi - Works once; when you disconnect, you have to reboot to reconnect
    - Sometimes weird bars appear on the screen (not too noticeable)
    - Can't mount storage when not in TWRP

    Kernel 2.6 (v1.2) - Bugs:

    - Hardware Acceleration doesn't work (HD video, netflix, some games, quadrant standerd 3d benchmark, etc.) THIS IS A BIGGER DEAL THAN YOU WOULD THINK!! MANY FREEZES, SOD, AND NON-FUNCTIONALITY!![/SIZE]

    Coming Soon:

    Code:
v1.3 - Graphical fixes, bug fixes, and most likely an updated kernel. Since I no longer have the device, future builds may take 1 or 2 days longer to release as I have nothing to test the build on. Check the beta testing section on my website for beta builds/

What happened to these flashable soft key mods? I was really looking forward to these. Also, not a big fan of the blue reflective. Anyway you could post a build with the stock white home, back, and recent soft keys? Everything else is great on 1.2
I am working on them, once they are done I will put them in the THEMES/APPS Section as well as the mods post in this thread. And, I have integrated kernel 3.0 in this rom and it works! I will soon distribute.
