You need a custom kernel which supports dual boot. You may then be able to remove root from one of them but the apps used to control dual boot (stweaks for example) need root to work.
Siyah based kernels have a key combination you can press at boot up which controls which rom you boot into so you MAY be able to do it.
Best thing to do is try it
