What would you prefer to see the devs spending their limited time on, improving the rom, or holding the hands of the helpless?

Empower yourself, take some resonsibility - NEVER assume that everything you read on the internet is accurate and current. Always read as much as possible before acting on it, because if you end up bricking your phone (or missing a photo opportunity, or whatever) because you didn't read enough and assumed that whatever you did read had to be correct, then your only reasonable gripe is with your own impatience

But again, I do agree that many misunderstandings and mishaps would easily be avoided with an updated OP - my point here is that we don't live in an ideal world, so be realistic about the root cause when things don't go as planned. The OP issue is a crutch for a bigger problem. If you have more time than money, does it make sense to risk having to spend something you don't have in order to save something you do?

Be it time or money, everything has a cost - but time spent in advance can be a lot cheaper than the money you might otherwise have to spend later

That's the only way I know how to view the world... some people say that I over-analyze things, but those people usually give me the strong impression that they don't analyze things nearly enough, lol

I'm with you on the flashing DT's - it seems like new versions of every rom come out in groups, with lulls in between. It's a lot like catching up on the last six episodes of your favorite show in one sitting, then having to wait a week for one more episode (or waiting another six weeks for another long viewing session). But while the dull periods are a test of patience, it almost always feels worth the wait in the end

"What is this?! When does this happen in the movie?!"

"Now, sir. You're looking at now - everything that's happening now, is happening now."
