I have no problem with people protecting sources of leaks and you shouldn't take someone's work and repost it

Wow...I've never seen such stupid crap go on in the Android community. You all need to get a grip its software here today on to something better tomorrow. Oh how I miss d1 days when I could go into a thread and it was mostly about the software instead of pissing contests get over yourselves.
Even though the thunderbolt forums are falling apart its hilarious to browse.

First of all I do apologize for my part in this. On that note there was certainly drama and chaos around during the D1 days as well. Remember the whole Black Droid (aka Ultimate Droid) fiasco for instance?
Ok...but I was on a lot of d1 threads and it was nothing like the thunderbolt thread its either been dev against noobs which irritated me too and now dev against dev its out of control regardless of drama from d1 days it doesn't justify what's gone on since development started on the thunderbolt. People need to just get back to enjoying every aspect of this instead of you stole this. Come on really if its used in a ROM or mod its good work and should be exploited with thanks givin to the dev this oh you didnt ask me is bull **** focus on what you love doing all the rest is drama if you are so focused on people using your stuff rather than realizing its used cause its good than development then your just short changing your next release. If you focus so much on who is using your software you're not truly supporting an open source os you are trying to keep it solely for yourself thus against everything that brought this community together. Yes credit should be given but get over yourselves and do what you love and that's create great things for the end user if that's not your goal maybe you should rethink development for Android.

It would be bad form and irresponsible for one dev to not ask permission. Here's why, and this guy's ROMs are a good example. If you've got somebody using technically illegal code, do you really want to be involved in that? Do you want your code mixed in with that? I wouldn't. Second, his ROM was wildly outside GPL because he couldn't provide source for the ROM or the kernel. Believe it or not, the forum rules, as laid out by the admin, in compliance with GPL, make sense and protect everyone. This isn't a free-for-all, mash together some crap and call it your ROM- forum. No community survives without rules. Too many seem frustrated anytime apparent anarchy doesn't rein. Open source isn't anarchy. It's a community with rules. There's devs here that follow the rules and put out a great ROM, kernel, script, mod, or what have you. Whether you realize or appreciate their compliance, the hold themselves to a standard. It would be REALLY cool if the community as a whole would recognize that standard and say "we aren't going to use kanged or GPL non-compliant works or support them." That would solve a whole lot of problems!
It's people like you and our mods that take things to far and drive our great developers away, I may not be the smartest person, I may not use the fancy words you do but I do understand how hard our developers work and maybe they take short cuts or forget to give credit but that's only human! I'm sorry your so perfect.
You again
...
Can't u just shut it? He doesn't have to release the source code for his tomorrow due to android being licensed somewhere else and his kernels were borrowed so he used someone else's and gave them credit!!! If this due to ziggys kernels then f!(k this community
Ziggy has give way more to this community than most people ever will, so what he doesn't release his source? His kernel wasn't even directly included in the rom
All in all your just another troll throwing around big words and saying all this crap about the GPL when you aren't even completely right about it, he only has to release KERNEL source which he did indirectly by borrowing the kernel from a trust dev

If I could get a decent download speed this rom would be installed already. Does anyone have a fast link to any of them?
I'm running the newest Honey Bread ROM and I'm having an issue with the built-in wireless hotspot. When I try to turn it on it locks up the phone so bad that I have to pull the battery. Is this an issue or is it just my phone?
which one is the newest rom. the OP has 2 roms. one is 9 and the other 9.7. I assume the 9.7 is the newest
