You'll need a custom kernel, an app that allows you to control it (or alternatively init.d support) to change those settings.

DONATE TO ME
Default Re: The worst AMOLED screen in the world

I've had my Verizon GNex since day one. Just looked and tested with an LCD tester against different backgrounds.

The only burnin is the status bar on a white and gray background. Horizontal lines were visible on a gray background on a low brightness.

I didn't see any blue or other issues. Everything was pretty normal IMO. I have been using a lighter themed statusbar.

Also from my memories of the Nexus One, the Amoled screens will eventually work out and burn in. For example, using a darker color theme over time should help.

I've had S2 S3 Note and Nexus, depends on your luck it can range from excellent to crap, even within the same model. Franco kernel or other custom kernel that can control colors help a bit.

yup
or a ROM that has these settings built-in such as AOKP-JB

Current Phone: Galaxy Nexus GT-i9250M
Status: Bootloader unlocked + Rooted
ROM: KangMOD (AOKP JB-M1 based)
Kernel: Latest Lean Kernel
Recovery: ClockWorkMod v6.0.2.3 (will 4EXT ever release?)
