HiGuys,

Why Music app does not have a subcategory of folders like it used to be on 3.2?

I'm having one issue that is making it impossible to use it as my first choice. I'm now back to stock. I use ezpdf pdf-reader a lot when I'm at work. It force closes every time I try to open a file that in stock 3.2 opens without problem.
I really like this rom because it is fast and stable with the exception of two of my favourite apps. I use the before mentioned ezpdf and es file explorer a lot and I mean a lot. Hopefully they will be compatible with aosp soon because I am a fan of aosp roms.

Hi, the beta 1.5.1 works fine for me, except i don't know how to enable ipv6 in ics. Can anybody point me to the right direction? In stock ROM for P7310 it worked out of the box.

Hey guys, is there any way one can have both ICS and the Camera? That is, can one have his cake and eat it too!?

I ask because I plan to skype a lot on my tablet, but I would also like ICS. So, if both are not possible, then probably I'll stick with Honeycomb and skype away.

By the way, is there any idea as to when the Camera functionality will appear in this ICS ROM. I noticed almost all devices have issues with Camera. I wonder why?

Its been stated before that the camera doesn't not work, at the moment there is no fix for that. If you need a camera then you could consider the "switchme" apps, switching between nandroids, or the easiest way, stay on honeycomb.

The reason the camera is broke is because the camera requires propriety drivers that the OEM develops, it is rare the moding community can make their own. the drivers from Honeycomb and ginger bread don't work with the new ICS architecture. its why almost every device without a leaked ROM is having camera troubles

Speaking of camera issues, i doubt it will help, but the Optimus One team found a way to get the camera working...

I use both ezpdf and es file explorer and didn't experience any fcs.

This ROM works great, had one random reboot and one time it got stuck and had to reboot myself but that doesn't seem to be a recurring issue. I had more system locks on stock ROM.

did you update without doing a full wipe? this often causes errors!

if that doesn't help, try fixing permissions. (either recovery, or rom manager)

i use ezpdf a LOT for university and so far it hasn't crashed once!

I'm on stock now and I did a fresh install of 1.5.1. Did a factory reset, wiped cache, dalvik and battery stats. The strange thing was that when I tried to open older files it was ok. The file that crashed ezpdf was a new file but from the same source. Don't know why. I will stick to stock for a couple of weeks. Need something that I know works at the moment.

1.5.1 is the best ROM yet. Love it! Good work guys!

Apart the the camera, it's difficult to see what else can be done to make it better now. Can't wait until Samsung release the proper version to see what you guys can do with it.

Congrats!

Thanks bdfull3r, I couldn't have said (weill I have said a dozen times) it better. Google has completly re-written the Hardware Abstraction layer for camera. Those other roms are ether leaks form the manufacturer. or devices that were supported by google OOB or were close enough that it was easy to get it to work. I've been reading up on a promising development about a generic hal but my programming experience is limiting.. I'll put out there again, anyone who has experience in thie dept (either on other teams) I welcome input and will be made part of the team.. camera is one f the last things!

Android file transfer on MAC

I can connect the Galaxian-Soup ROM with my iMac and use Android file transfer to transfer files to/from my GT 8.9. The stock ROM (3.1 and 3.2) can't do that. Any clues?
Thanks.

I'm still experiencing WiFi not connecting after restart, solves after turning off/on wireless some time more than once. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Also I've noticed some video garbage on occasions, usually solves itself after a reboot

I found 2 issues with this rom;

the compass is 90 degrees turned and de gyroscope (tilting the tablet) is also 90 degrees turned.

If it can't be solved at the moment, maybe it's worth to mention it in the first post.

    Working
    • Pretty Much everything!

    Not working:
    • Cameras
    • Auto brightness seems to work sometimes, but not all the time.

    Installation:
*** You maybe able to flash over previous builds, we haven't tested, if you have issues after, please try a wipe/re-flash ***

    1. In CWM recovery, clear your data/factory reset
    2. Clear the dalvik cache (under advanced, or under the wipe menu in overcome cwm)
    3. Flash the provided zip using CWM recovery
    4. Flash gapps from CWM recovery
    5. Bootup and setup your Google account
    6. OC if you want with included NoFrills CPU, and set to interactive governor! (tested with other OC apps like setcpu as well)
    7. Give it a chance, this is a deodexed ROM and will boot slow the first time and when you use apps the first time.

    Weekend Update

Hey guys! I know everyone is waiting patiently for a new build, or at least some news, well I'm going to give you some news, update probably won't happen until next week.

2 members of the team had some hardware issues this week, so progress slowed down a bit until today.

We have very promising leads on the HW Video Acceleration, and Camera bugs, these bave been our primary concern, and also the most "challenging". As many of you know Nvidia has been less than forthcoming with their code, even amid promises of opening up their source "sometime this year".

Well some clues from other devs and roms, I believe have us pointed in the right direction.

Camera, today we received some leaked tegra libs, in it are camera stuff, upon a simple swap in I got a black screen while loading camera.apk, doesn't sounds great right? but that means the camera hardware (well should mean) is being recognized (at least partially), we may need to write some config, or code, who knows.

Also we began Looking for seriously at a 3g version.

Good stuff happening, keep up the faith!
