Have you tried "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition" in Rocovery Mode? If not, please back up your data and go to Recovery Mode by :-
- Shutdown your phone.
- Press "Volume Up" button then "Power" button until you see green Android with red !.
- Press "Back" button to go to "Android system recovery"
- Move to "wipe data/factory reset" by press "Volume Down" button and press "Home" button to execute.
- Move to "wipe cache partition" by press "Volume Down" button and press "Home" button to execute.
- Reboot and hope it fixed your missing status bar :)

WARNING !!! Use as your own risk.

How to create stock rom image :- (Credit: aze2learn)
- Use SPflash tool readback function. Normally the scatter is the same. Use mt6577 scatter file, then in readback, add file according to the scatter (open scatter in txt file) .. the important area to readback is uboot, bootimg, recovery, logo and android (system)
- Need to readback each region - copy paste the address into readback start address and length is the next address minus current address.

- press "Save icon" to Save Changes.
- Shut down and then restart.

    WARNING !!! Use as your own risk.

    How to create stock rom image :- (Credit: aze2learn)
    - Use SPflash tool readback function. Normally the scatter is the same. Use mt6577 scatter file, then in readback, add file according to the scatter (open scatter in txt file) .. the important area to readback is uboot, bootimg, recovery, logo and android (system)
    - Need to readback each region - copy paste the address into readback start address and length is the next address minus current address.

    Remember to extract and put into same directory/folder before loading the scatter file via SP Flash tool.

    If your HOME button doesn't wake up phone:- (Credit: aze2learn)
    - After ROOTed your phone use "Root Browser"(it's free) to go to the folder: system/usr/keylayout,
    - Open file "mtk-kpd.kl" in text mode with any text editor
    - move to the line: "key 102 HOME" and add " WAKE" (without quote) at the end of this line
    - press "Save icon" to Save Changes.
    - Shut down and then restart.

    - Select your scatter file
    - Go to Read Back
    - Press Add
    - Save the .img (boot.img, recovery.img or system.img)

    - Press Read Back
    - Switch off you phone (you can leave the battery inside it)
    - Connect your phone to PC and the programm beginn to backup

    So if you have Windows 7 X64 or Windows 8 X64 it will not work (I´ve tested it)

    Under Win7 x86 is working like a charm :)

    For recovery:

    Lenght: 0x00600000

    For boot:

    Start Adress: 0x00F88000

    Lenght: 0x00600000

    For System: not sure..
