Found bugs..

Thanks nAa,,

Its happy to have ICS for mini...but found some bugs..

1. On enabling 3g, only incoming calls and sms are working but no outgoing.
In 2g, both working fine. But not tried data access in both 2g and 3g.
2. I'm using connectify as wifi hotspot in laptop. Where i can connect with 2.2.0
CM7. Here with ICS 3.0.1, it not even identifies the wifi network.
Wifi details: Ad-hoc, WEP protected
3. Poor quality in sound while playing music

Thanks for ur consideration and ROM

Installed

I've just installed this ROM and I will evaluate it as soon as I can :)

I've done a2sd install and now I'm about to restore apps from titanium or MyBackup.

I must say that it looks amazing, although I'm a great fan of SE themes. I'll wait.
For now, there are two things that I'd improve:
1. Even though I've got ultra brightness selected, when auto brightness is on, it gets too dark. In CM7 it worked perfectly. Selecting the desired level of brightness (+- half) it gets brighter on the bottom of the screen.
2. Where can I disable animations?

Thx for everything, guys.

Just flashed new kernel & ROM. As Always, great job. All is smooth, fast & cool.
Just a little problem: ringtones volume. If you put up at maximum level your ringer volume, you can't feel so good. I hope this bug can be fixed in the next release.

Please, don't consider this as a fault; it's my way to try to improve this ROM.

Last n00B question: how to disable sounds when you take a photo?

Thanks 4 all

Greetings from Italy ;)

ringtone : in fact volume is higher than older roms, and max volume is more than what speaker can handle correctly imho.

to disable sounds for pics, either you turn your phone into silence or you delete or change the shutter sound file for no sound at all :)

Understood. So (at this time) we can just put down volume, isn't it?

so... day 2 with the miniCM9 - not too many stutters, more fluent. I get a lot of Deep Sleep on my CPU, but battery life sucks. I did one day of 3G (I got about 14h), one day of 2G. on 2G, fully charged (charged 100%, then reboot to recovery, wipe stats, charge 100%), no calls, just some incoming emails from gmail and exchange, 8:55:57 deep sleep out of 9:36:57 on battery and the battery is at 61%. on miniCM7, with the 2nd type of usage (rare calls, mostly emails, 2g) I was getting almost 3 days on a charge.

    Requirements:

    Instructions:
    • Download the MiniCM9-xxx.zip from the release link that follows
    • Backup your /data contents: contacts, apps, sms, etc. or backup via recovery
    • Move the MiniCM9-xxx.zip to the root folder of your sdcard. Download the suggested Google Apps for CM9 from here (check http://goo-inside.me/gapps/ if you want to experiment with other gapps versions)
    • Make sure you are using the nAa-ics kernel
    • Enter CWM and:
      - Select 'backup and restore -> Backup'
      - Select 'wipe data/factory reset' (MUST DO)
      - Flash the MiniCM9-xxx.zip. To do this, Select 'install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard' and select the MiniCM9-xxx.zip

    MiniCM9 Visuals

    MiniCM9 Theme:

    MiniCM9 theme, is the valid successor for MiniCM6 and MiniCM7 legacy.
    It is designed as close as possible to the original specs of ICS, in order to be a lightweight, beautiful alternative to the stock theme. However it is tweaked in several parts of the UI, in order to fit better to our small device's screen.

    Screenshots:

    Changelog:

    Code:
    *3.0.2* 26-05-2012
    ---------------------------------------------
    -Initial release
    -Several UI elements are resized (in order to fit better with the small size of the screen)
    -themed most of the basic parts of framework
    -themed Trebuchet (also compatible with Apex/Nova Launcher)
    -themed Contacts/dialer
    -themed/redesigned status bar icons (Bigger and sharper, especially on the LDPI res)
    -themed Playstore (Small details in order to fit the theme)
    -themed Torch (also fixed on LDPI)
    -themed Apollo
    -themed Camera
    -themed launcher icons (lots to follow)

    Tips to make things faster

    * You want to overclock as much as you device can handle. ICS requires more juice to run.
    * Remove / Freeze system apps that you don't need, especially DSP Manager
    * Install only apps that you need, don't bloat your system
    * Consider using a swap partition / file if you got a fast sdcard. Swap will give more memory for the hungry ICS to consume
    * Using Zram (Compcache) and KSM is also suggested as they will give you a tad more RAM for your apps. Note that they might also reduce battery life since they require CPU cycles.
    * Trebuchet is beautiful but a bit on the laggy side yet. Consider installing another launcher from the market like Apex.

    Don't report bugs if you are using thirdparty tools that claim to be boosting the performance (Supercharger, RAM Manager, etc.)
    45
    Components

    ### Built from sources
    * libaudio
    * libgralloc
    * hwcomposer
    * libsensors
    * liblight
    * fm Radio
    * camerahal
    * libcamera
    * bluetooth

    ### Done
    * HW Video encoder/decoder

    Performance
    MiniCM9 along with the nAa-ics kernel, includes some interesting performance improvement points:
    • System -> Performance -> Processor -> CPU governor and frequency --> SmartassV2 is suggested. Overclocking can be set as higher as your device can take
    • System -> Performance -> Processor -> Undervolting --> Enable this to get better battery life
    • System -> Performance -> Memory management -> zRam (Compcache) --> By default this is set to 18% in order to provide more physical memory (RAM)
    • System -> Performance -> Kernel samepage merging -> Enable this to get smaller memory footprint due to memory sharing among apps (Note that this might increase battery consumption)
