So this is not my nexus 7 tablet. My friends.
It's the OG 32gb version.

It suddenly froze and kept boot-looping. I then tried to clear cache, but nothing.

After many restarts I get to the OS.
I unlock the screen and open an app. It then stays white and freezes.
If left unattended in the lock/home screen it freezes, shows screen defects all over the screen.

I then factory reset and even that took a couple of boot-loops to get in the OS.
Would get more defects and freezes on/before nexus logo.
I went through the set up,only set up wifi. Seemed fine.

Then I unlocked it(to home) and I heard a loud shrieking sound coming from the speakers, along with screen defects.
Did not stop until I held the power, powering it off.

So is the tablet a dud? Not sure what else can help.
Factory reset should of stopped software problems, correct?

It could be a bad factory flash, too. Try flashing a fresh image through the bootloader using ROM Toolbox.
