Your DroidX/2 Liberated!!!!
libertyx.png

Note: Liberty can be installed over the top of GummyJAR 2.5

Liberty is tested and supported on only 320/340 droid X’s.

Liberty is the result of a collaboration between Kejar31 and Jrummy16. The base and apps from this ROM are the continuation of GummyJAR’s base while the scripts and toolbox are the continuation of Rumm’s tools. Together Liberty is a evolution in the DroidX/2 ROM scene.

First!

This is a great rom. Stable and fast. The Liberty Toolbox is great too. Love the Linear theme. Liberty is off to a fantastic start. Awesome job by all involved. The hard work everyone put into Liberty really shows.

I went Fission > GummyJAR (2 nights ago) > Liberty (early, early this morning). You've got to give Liberty a try.

Got liberty downloaded, customized and up and running this morning! So far it is amazing. Only way to describe it is GummyJar on crack!!! Admittedly my phone has only been running it <2 hours and I usually try and reserve judgement until I've used a rom a few days, but this one is just amazing!

Edit: Also I know the first post said something about the GBKB size on the d2 but it feels perfect to me. Much better than stock or swype imo (although I personally never was a big swype person).

Amazing ROM guys... I've used Fission and ApeX, stayed on GummyJAR for quite some time and now have switched to liberty and I've gotta say, with the toolbox, etc, this is by far the best ROM I've used... thank you guys for the hard work!

Wow

Comming from a Touch Pro 2 with many roms the D2 didnt offer as much for me initially and i was scared to do it.

BUT after trying gummyjar I was HOOKED now this IS the perfect evolution of it I have this like 2 min and I am super Impressed this is really what an Android phone should operate like!

Yes yes yes! Just what I've been waiting for. Downloading and installing now! :D :D :D

Everything is looking amazing. The toolbox is awesome. One problem though, it looks like whatever server is hosting the content of the toolbox (like themes) is really really slow. I left a theme download running for like five minutes and 500kb of it had been downloaded. Not a huge problem, but I'd suggest maybe finding another host. The only mirror that downloaded the actual ROM for me at a decent pace was the droid2files link.

New to D2 ROMs...I installed GummyJar and then jumped right to this. Installed over the top without wiping and everything seems to be running great. Exploring now.

I am a QA guy by trade. Is there anywhere special where you post issues, or do I just post in this thread?

Quick question! Do I have to back up SMS/Apps/etc. before installing Liberty on top of my GummyJAR? Or, when installing on top of GummyJAR will everything still be there?

    Thanks :D

I didn't back up all my apps going from GummyJar to Liberty and it worked fine.
