Hi Guys !

After numerous questions asked in threads which one is better Ultra NANO Optics or Ultra NANO Clear, I decided to make a comparative review.
I will help you to understand which product is Best For You.
So lets roll it! ;)

In the package you will find:

- 2 screen protectors.
- cloth (to clear the screen)
- 4 stickers, for dust removal . (it helps sometimes)
- plastic scoop (to align the surface)
- serial number (to verify the authenticity of the product)
- spam (as usual:D)

Installation is as easy as it can get. exactly what i expected !;)
Of course, the quality of the cut is impeccable.
Guys, very easy to remove any bubbles. (actually, bubbles are completely absent). It is very important.

Ultra NANO Optics effectively prevents smudges and fingerprints for the best clarity .
During the testing few days ago as a the temperature in New York reached 107°F (is equal to 41.67°C) i noticed that due to terrible humidity my friend's Ultra NANO Clear protector was practically unusable in that weather.
While with Ultra NANO Optics I had absolutely no problems of that nature and enjoyed making few funny comments about my friend's choice!;)

With the good surface hardness 2H this film becomes not only a tool of protection, but also extremely improves your work with the phone's screen. Finger movements become very smooth. In any weather with any humidity.

Oh! before i completely forgot! let me tell you, Guys! Anti-Finger print feature - is a complete bull****.
It leaves fingerprints. But at the minimum level.

And of course it is not comparable with the Ultra NANO Clear.

Both of them have Anti-UV ray coated feature.
Both got 50 micron thickness.
Strong adhesive for the curved area of the screen.
Marks and fingerprints wipe away easily.

So if you are asking why my first impressions have been confused then
it's easy guys to explain. My phone lost all the sexy reflections. Which I loved in Ultra NANO Clear (left-Nano OPTIC / right-Nano Clear)

IMG_1507.jpg

IMG_1504.jpg

It's because that the film has a matte coating.
another question pops immediately: "what about screen colors? Does it spoil the picture quality of the screen?

NO !

-Zero interference with touchscreen responsiveness.
-Colors are also perfect.

IMG_1531.jpg

but the geatest interest of mine was directed towards the test for scratches:D

IMG_1516.jpg

I was surprised. It's SO hard to scratch the screen ! Hey it was easy on the Ultra NANO Clear !

IMG_1517.jpg

IMG_1518.jpg

As usual SGP protection in the first place !

IMG_1538.jpg

IMG_1537.jpg

... the rain began, yet, again.... And I ran back home to write a conclusion.

SGP Ultra NANO Optics screen protector cost - $15.99
While the Ultra NANO Clear screen protector cost- $13.99
The price difference is just $2.
Guys! I definitely recommend it. But the choice is yours.
-Beauty vs Extremely Usability.

Best Regards.

Yeah man I have installed this myself and notice that my display is never picking up any grease from anywhere. When a device can look as expensive like this anywhere, it brings a smile to my face.
BTW like always nice review man.

I installed my Nano Optics this morning.
It makes a squeaking sound when you slide your finger across it.
Also feels like super smooth sandpaper.
No rubbery feeling at all though, your finger actually slides around better than on the stock screen.
Screen touch sensitivity is excellent.
It looks kind of bad in direct sunlight. Shows off all the smudges.
And you can see what looks like (but isn't of course) "scan lines" when viewing in direct sunlight.
You do lose the glossy look as mentioned in the review above. Phone isn't as shiny looking anymore. Kind of dull/plain looking now (screen anyway).
I've only had it on a day so I'm not prepared to say if I love it or not.

It's good, but I'm still not super impressed.
Still looks brand new. No scratches yet.
Still feels "whiskey" when I move my fingers around.
Does a better job with fingerprints than some protectors I've had in the past.
Still looks like crap in direct sunlight. Worst ever.
But after a heavy night of partying & playing with phone, the screen still looks great while inside the house, out of the sun.
It has not peeled up at all around the corners. :good:

I'll be keeping my options open for other screen protectors.

There's no question, I have been using SGP Anti-fingerprint/matte screens for a few devices now, it's an easy choice, I recommend them to everyone. And with each device I get they continue to make them better and better, Nano Optics is fantastic on my device, I love it.

When did SGP start sending only 2 screen protectors? I ordered the Ultra NANO Clear a few weeks ago, and at that time they shipped with 3 protectors for the same price.

My only complain for ultra nano optics is only this squeaking sound ;)

Is this screen protector 100% clear and does it change the screen visual quality at all compared to a naked screen? I can't stand when a screen protector changes the visual quality. There are few that won't, but most do. I want it to be invisible.

great review. Thank you for the great description, and the AMAZING pictures of both.

I ended up going with the Clear, as the ZAGG HD i have on right now is average at best.

Im excited to get that "glassy" feel back, and again, thank you for the great review!

Awesome review man, had trouble deciding myself. Actually I still do, but nice to see this here.

Alright, so the only disadvantage of the Nano Clear would be it being fingerprint-prone? Other than that it is the best film-type skin protector for the S3?

Clear has rainbow effect due to oil smudges, which annoyed me as I do a lot of reading. Also clear is subject to the orange peel effect and does not like hot and humid environment - in my case it even went bubbles during holidays in Crimea (35 degrees hot).

Anyone with the Nano Optics experiencing yellowing of the screen protectors?
