Welcome to the Monfro ROM thread !

This ROM for GSM Raphael is built using Etoy’s kitchen on WM6.1 (build 21057) and includes Sense 2.5.2019 from Oboe ported by Abrasive, with some tabs ported by Etoy from Leo 2018.

- WM 6.1.21057
- Sense 2.5.2019
- Rilphone 1.14.25.35 cooked in (recommended radios: 1.14.25.35, 1.14.25.05, 1.17.25.09. Otherwise install the rilphone for your own radio)
- Change keyboard layout Touch Pro/Fuze with the cooked in switcher (ProFuze KB Settings)
- Tarkim's Keyboard Remapper cooked in (hard key Home mapped to Windows Start Menu)
- Manila Start Menu cooked in, accessible from soft Start Menu
- Pagepool 20mb
- Cookie Home Tab 1.8.5 and 2.0. CHT2.0 layout is configured as CHT1.8.5: the main difference is speed!! You can explore all the new options of CHT2.0 on your own, but i wanted to give a simple layout as a base.
- To use XDA_UC download the zip attached here, unzip, put the folder in the SD and then run the program from there (click on XDA_UC, black/grey icon). Click here for more info
- noCHT version: it has a plain Sense 2.5.2019, without any customization. It needs THIS MOD(Bg4all) to have the custom background on all tabs. The mod is needed also if you install CHT1.6.1 or CHT1.7.1.

Sense 2.5.2019 is really fast!!!
Scrolling through Sense tabs is very smooth!!!
You will have a great speed and a lot of free ram: 130 mb of free ram on startup!!

This ROM has the latest Sense Core (2019), Tabs and EXT packages available for VGA devices at the moment.
Also Windows Mobile is the last version of WM6.1.

Questions and Answers

1. If you don't like the dialer cooked in you can install one of these Tachi Dialer (native VGA).
Remember to kill cprog and phcanvga processes before installing!!!
After that delete "phcanvga.lnk" from Windows/Startup.
Some of the latest Leo/Huashan dialers may not work well with WM6.1 (when you have an incoming call the windows notification bubble will appear and cover the SlideToAnswer panel).

2. To remove Manila Start Menu delete the shortcut "ManilaStartMenu.lnk" in Windows/Startup.

3. Music Tab and Photos/Video Tab does not rotate with G-Sensor, because the Fakelandscape is disabled by default. Here you have 3 ways to enable it.

4. If you have problems with your SIP (keyboard selector) install SIP Change, attached to this post.

5. If you use a noCHT version you need THIS MOD (Bg4all) to have the custom background on all tabs. The mod is needed also if you install CHT1.6.1 or CHT1.7.1.

6. "Threaded SMS" option is not working. I will look at it. For the moment, install the latest HTC Messaging client and use its Threaded SMS feature. Just install the cab and it should work.

7. If you want the Operator/Carrier name displayed on Home Tab, here are 2 solutions to display it.

to remove Manila Start Menu delete the shortcut "ManilaStartMenu.lnk" in Windows/Startup.

Give it a try before...i was skeptic too about it at the beginning, but now i love it

Nice Monfro! Just what I've been looking for. I am tired of all the 6.5 roms, they are just too f'ing buggy. And Tarkim's keyboard remapper is great for anyone who uses another language but English, and doesn't work on 6.5 roms. I'll give this one a go. To bad I didn't refresh the post list before I flashed Tael's ROM just now, could have saved myself some time!

Could you please list what else you have in the ROM?

Cookie Home Tab version 2.0

I wondering if you were thinking about recooking this ROM with the latest version of Cookie's Home Tab once they have a stable version of it?

Piece of nice work!!

I was looking long period of time a 6.1 rom with 2.5 sense, and finally i found it.

Cooked apps you couldn't pick better

Everything what I need is cooked in.

Question for users - how about stability and bugs? Anyone found something alredy, or rom is bugfree?

Yes, i will update the rom with Cookie 2.0 (when it will be stable) and also with the new Sense and packages that will be available in the future.
At the moment it has the latest Sense tabs and core and ext packages available for VGA devices.
Also Windows Mobile is the last version of WM6.1

Maybe i will also cook the same rom based on WM6.5 or WM6.5.X.

Because the Fakelandscape is disabled by default.
So you will have landscape only opening the keyboard.

To activate Fakelanscape go to:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila]
"EnableFullScreen" and set dword to 1

or import the .reg file attached (before importing you have to delete the .txt extension)

or install the attached cab

great rom, the only bad thing about it is the battery, it drains it too fast, otherwise this is one of best rom i've tested so far, keep up the great work (sorry about my english)

From Settings Tab/Wireless Control try to turn off Beam and 3G (and set it only when you need a data connection).

Another thing you can try is flashing another radio with its rilphone:

Yes, the yellow triangles instead of the classic folder icon in File Explorer is normal.
It is due (but not wanted) to 2 different packages of customization cooked in the rom: i prefered to leave it this way instead of renouncing to this taskbar.

I can cook a more simple taskbar or renounce to some of the other customization in the future if you prefer.
