I have a question. if i turn on the power saving mode.does the governor change to pegasus?because now in on yanks governor..thanks

Should not, it should just limit CPU max. to 1.0GHz. But I never tested it, as I never use it.

Just checked, does not. But using PowerSave may lock the device on single core as threshold freq. to online the next core will not be reached in most setups !

I don't know if this is CM10.1 or kernel related(it only happens when this kernel is flashed), but the internal speaker(the one that is used for calls) stops working, just like the mic. The person I'm calling can't hear me and I can't hear that person, not even when I enable the loudspeaker. The strange thing is that it works just fine when reproducing youtube, mp3 or any other audio content other then using the mobile network. The only way to fix this is a clean rom install after a complete wipe or a nandroid restore. It seems to occur at random and happened two times before.

Any ideas?

Restart when that happens would fix the issue, it's something related to the first sound made my the phone have to be a system sound to prevent this, use a boot animation with sound would help I guess, or enable lockscreen sound.

This happened to me before too, I never did completely wipe, I only wipe cache and fix permissions. Hope this help

Interesting, I don't use the lockscreen at all so I'm looking for a boot animation with sound. Simply restarting the phone didn't help me

As I use an app called Llama, I created a rule that plays a sound when the phone starts, with a low volume. Issue solved.

what is swappiness?? when you are flashing the kernel this part of the config i don't know what it is..... i want to know what is the best value on this config and what it is...

Most definately you should find the answer to that question in my hardswap thread

In two words, let's say it's value, going from 0 to 100, that defines the "willingness to swap", hense the name "swappiness".

It's a standard Linux parameter for swap (virtual memory), 0 meaning "try not to swap", 100 "try to swap as soon as you can".

Oh, btw.. about that hard swap thingy.. I only need to flash Hard-Swap-Yank555.lu_Flasher-vx.y.zip if the kernel is another than yours, right?

Safe, well from a manufacturer's point of view that would be to never use more than stock, hence 1A/h.

Now 1.5A/h have proven safe for some users that use it, but that only makes sense if you du have a power source than provides that much.

By that I mean there's no need turning AC levels up if you're using the (crappy) stock charger, as it barely handles delivering proper 1A/h

Since I don't have any AC charger providing more than 1A/h I don't use it myself, I only use the USB at 1A/h because of my car charger (which is labeled and gives 1A/h) which is wrongfully detected as USB port and thus would only charge at 475mA/h instead.

As long as the other kernel has swap support compiled in and init.d scripts are executed, yes

If i want to change governor or some setting, i need to reflash kernel again? Or some app can change settings on the fly?

Any app will do, though SetCPU is the on;y I know that will give access to governor parameters.

I can confirm thats work fine on carbon rom 1.3 based on 4.2.2 android aosp

Works great!i flashed with 80% of battery(coming from stock carbon kernel) and done 4h of screen on from 80 to 0... And never charged! I dont imagine at 3-4 cycle how battery will grow!

I used the first, custom, and i setted like old kernel's version
