hi,

my phone is locked to 3, but if I place a Telia SIM into it and start it, it doesn't ask for unlock code, it just writes: Limited service

can downgrading hboot help me to unlock my phone with unlock code?

If you have a .93 boot, then wait. I spent almost 10 hours trying. Done many other desires, but this was the 1st SLED screened one I'd had to play with. I was using Jtag, and all of the tools here (phone was boot dead when it came to us). Was originally O2 2.2 shipped. Got it working fine on a stock 2.2, and unlocked it via jtag. I can downgrade the hboot to 80 fine. Run one if the normal root tools, and you are back to black screen..
Be all and end all us that with a stock .93, yes you can downgrade the hboot, but you can't root it just yet. Fairly sure that all .93's will have the SLED screens in.
Case of waiting for now. As mentioned if you end up with a black screen, but have startup signs, don't worry. Just read the tutorials.

Hi,

i updated my HTC Desire from 2.10.405.2 to 2.29.405.2 and now i have 0.93 boot... i cant downgrade to 2.10.405.2 now. Is there any chance to downgrade because the new update just sux, i cant lock my phone, clock is changing all the time, i am getting "force close" messages...

Any sollution?

My friend has updated Desire and after the upgrade the phone when
enters sleep mode, it does not wake up more. Sometimes the unit turns on but not
is no display, only the initial vibration.

hboot = 0.93.0001
Baseband = 5.09.05.30_2

Any solution?

Im stuck on step 2... unrevoked simply reboots to hboot and then nothing happens... i still have no recovery... ??

edit: I had to reinstall drivers as mentioned above... will try again

still no luck... unrevoked reboots a few times etc. but still NO RECOvERY..

okay Unrevoked3 worked perfectly so i hope it's good!

lastly I still get the "140" bootloader error when trying to flash back to official RUU... where can i get an RUU in .zip format? Could I install from recovery?

The Download links are now dead (understandable after this amount of time) and I need to downgrade my Desire from the Official 2.3.3 update so that I can root my phone. Where can I go from here to downgrade?

!!!! ROOTING/FLASHING/DOWNGRADING IS ALWAYS ON YOUR OWN RISK !!!!
Attention: This method will completely wipe your phone!!!

You can find the reworked Tutorial here: http://android-tutorials.org/
Video of the first step is online: Step 1

    Video of the 3 & 4 step is online: Step 3 & 4

    Known Problems
If you have problems while re-rooting or custom recovery (unrevoke) try to downgrade again with the above procedure.
Make sure you have made a new goldcard.
If you have problems e.g. 140 ERROR please follow these instructions (thx to raz2133)
This will fix your MISC Partition so you can flash back original RUU files.

    Happy re-rooting ;)

P.S. i hope you can understand this because english is not my foreign language

For everyone how was in bad luck and updated to the original OTA FroYo here is a way how you can revert it.

The User maximini1 has found a thread where they describe how you can downgrade to 0.80 again.

So i try to explain how you have to do it.

    Preparation
    1. Make a NEW Goldcard (here)
    2. Download PB99IMG.zip (here - MIRROR - germany MIRROR2)
    3. Rename the downloaded file to "PB99IMG.zip" and copy it onto your SD Card.

    Flashing
    1. Shutdown yor mobile
    2. Hold Volume up and press power
    3. wait until PB99IMG.zip was found and checked
    4. Press Volume Up <yes> - PICTURE 1
    5. Wait until all steps are done. DON't POWER OFF YOUR DEVICE!!! - PICTURE 2
    6. After flashing press Volume Up to reboot
    7. done

    Happy re-rooting ;)

Is it working? Did try anyone?

You could just use revolutionary to S-off?

Isn't it compatible with the "new" 1.02.0001 hboot|?
