[ROM] Supreme Sense v-XII [2.1+3.0] [Custom Kernel][Updated 9/07/12]

On another note, I flashed yesterday, yes with a full wipe, installed a2sd and seems to be working smooth.
I tried to change the app drawer configuration but it stays 4x4. No biggie just saying.
it feels great to be back home. Thank you for the update.

This is for prboy strapped and mik and any developer out there.... There are quite a few people that are greatful for all your guys hard work and of course dedication to the development of these kick ass roms and trust me if we could hit the thanks button a million times we would just trying to make your guys grumpy days better

I don't exactly put myself in the "dev" category at all, I'm a dedicated tinker'r...speaking of I broke WiFi in the latest zip. Prboy flashed it with cwm touch and had no WiFi, then flashed a kernel i built of nonSense source and WiFi worked. But what stumped me is, the kernel that was flashed was the same included with the ROM. I'm stumped because of the modules, I used the same ones from my kernel zip....but I had codine in me and was very very sleepy so I'm sure I overlooked something and I'll get to that shortly today, I hope LOL

Yeah i seen it I was like oh heck yea, I got so lost in other things though man i haven't even got to log in at all...time just slipped right out of my hands yesterday, I spent about 2 hours digging things out of SS so we could take it back to bone stock SS, then start adding a2sd back and the custom kernel and all

so I think this may be too deep to matter, but I recently ran a bunch of tests with lightning bug (a whitenoise/loop sleep clock) and the ondemand governor with this kernel and it would lock up (battery pull) consistently when screen off.. but interactive (same speeds) does not.

I believe the smartass v1 gov (which I miss in this kernel) was built off interactive... so I was going to stay there anyway, but I am a compulsive tinkerer/tweaker...

The App drawer cannot be changed because rosie is not the same as on MikShiftedG . Maybe later on we'll add the 4x5, or the 5x4 App drawer as a flashable

I've tried some smali edits before to enable 5x5 for the shift because i felt it could handle it, but that was back when I was messing around on windows. Now I do all my smali edits in Linux, using gedit and my favorite: android-utility...I have made more smali edits to Rosie.apk to enable a more smooth carousel, it should flatten out all of the images while rotating, it just has some m10 work needing to be done to it to turn down the duration of an icon press, because the mod sometimes lights up an icon during scroll.

Once i get all this worked out I'll try the 5x5 or a 5x4 app drawer again

How low were you running the device with the screen off? What was your Max?Every device is different, and some really don't like the Ultra Low Clock Speeds. Or to be to close to the Max for the device. I'm not sure if the Smartass Governor is built off of Interactive

. I believe it's completely different settings.

but if SS 9.2 is based off MikShifted-G v2.1 then essentially it should work nearly identically.

well i will know here in about 1 hr if i am back to SS9.2 or G 2.1..

Not nessacerily becaused supreme has more 3.0 goodies and some things just dont play well yet. These roms are like whiskey they get better with age so relax and let them work on it and besides the reason some of the rosie tweaks work better on mikshifted then supreme is becasue mik has the 2.1 rosie were supreme has the 3.0 rosie

for the best sense experience. team supreme. team mik. dedicated to the cause.

All good, we're constantly working on Supreme to make it better. As turkbot explained the differences between the two Roms, has different affects on both.

Is based on the concept of the interactive governor. I have always agreed that in theory the way interactive works – by taking over the idle loop – is very attractive. I have never managed to tweak it so it would behave decently in real life. Smartass is a complete rewrite of the code plus more. I think its a success. Performance is on par with the “old” minmax and I think smartass is a bit more responsive. Battery life is hard to quantify precisely but it does spend much more time at the lower frequencies. Smartass will also cap the max frequency when sleeping to 352Mhz (or if your min frequency is higher than 352 – why?! – it will cap it to your min frequency). Lets take for example the 528/176 kernel, it will sleep at 352/176. No need for sleep profiles any more!"

Ok so the new build flashed just fine, although for the sake of testing a2sd was ripped out, i also compiled a kernel but the max is only 1.3.....go ahead and ***** moan and piss, but i for one do not want a kernel to clock over 1.5 max, and this kernel is my second build, all thanks to drob at a later time...but anyways im anxious to see how the tweaked rosie handles, all i did was flash boot in sign in and went to the market for tapatalk and came straight here

So i decided against the ultra liquid Rosie mod, because it made carousel seem jittery, so I kept it with the liquid Rosie mod, so far I'm please with the way It's running for me, there are gonna be 2 links again one for a2sd an one without...it kinda sucks having to host 2 ROMS that are identical other than a2sd, but there are also users who don't care for a2sd so to get it working right I went back to the method I've always used, yes it may be outdated because It's kitchen added, but hey it don't break things and I'm alright with that

Seems like a good deal to me. I definitely appreciate all the hard work (and rework) you guys are doing. As for the max clock on the kernel, it's not the end of the world. SS used to just have the stock kernel and if you needed to overclock, just had to flash another one. Like turkbot said ... it'll only get better with time.
