It probably has something to do with the impending release of the Mint.

Well, Samsung put out 4.1 testing for the SIII (My friend is playing with Google Now) ... That's why they sold a lot of it. People aren't stupid ... if they're gonna pay for something, it should at least have the latest OS. Something is seriously wrong with Sony programmers if they (a) can't follow the Google protocol on best practices for Android and (b) can't put out the latest updates on a timely fashion. Sony is great at cranking out hardware; there seems to no lacking in the engineering department. But, imo, they focus too much on the sheer quantity of the products and less quality, and thus they suffer marketshare. Who cares if you can pump out 25 new models in a year ... if no one buys them.

The Best Buy I went to did not even have one out for display and none of the reps seemed to know anything about it. Even at ATT they seem to not even care about this device at all. Kinda sad to as for the price even with GB it beats the snot out of the One X and GS 3. I have had a feeling the Ion was a test device for the upcoming GX aka Hyabusa. They share so much hardware wise it kinda makes sense. The flag ship devices have always been over hyped and over priced.

I stumbled across the ion last night on Best Buy. Scooped it up for free and ditching my Pantech Burst. I'm sure the horse has been beaten dead already, but what's the official word on ICS/JB?
