I tried SSlauncher because i want it to but not in widget but i cant get the screen in landscape mode with the launcher

Check the launcher settings. It should be in there

Check this thread out, you will find what you need in there but get ready to spend a couple of hours working on it. I used that tutorial on my Nook Color and it work great, haven't done it on the 300 cause haven't had time for leisure :P

I dont have my tablet with me at the moment, but it is either in the "preferences" or in the "theme" settings.

my only problem is that the landscape layout doesn't translate to portrait mode....which is OK because i think this tablet feels awkward in portrait.
again, i will try to remember to post my setup when i get home....i am so worthless sometimes
